He used to punch much faster in combination and in greater volume. He uses the jab more to make up for it now. He's still great but his days of swarming guys with relentless offense are over.
Ya GGG is getting older, like the rest of us, and as all boxers do.. No need to take away from him because you didn't get the KO result you wanted.. He was in it to win it, not like Canelo only fighting to survive... It's hard to get a KO against that
Ya fair enough .. but you're posting GGG has slowed down, his movement, etc..which he has. .he's getting older, not a big mystery.. He was in the fight to win it, not like Canelo only looking to survive.. It would be nice to see you take away from Canelo how he wasn't good enough to exploit these GGG downfalls throughout the entire fight and turn into the aggressor or do something, or at least a hell of a lot more than he did.. I think this fight says more about Canelo than GGG ..
GGG hesitated to go to the body because was getting countered. He was also missing approx. 50% of his punches. He was also slightly staggered in the tenth. BTW IMHO GGG was clearly outpointed in these rounds: 1, 2, 5, 6, 11, 12, GGG clearly won 3, 4, 7, 8 rounds The remaining rounds 9, and 10 were even or extremely close.
The way he was caroming punches off of GGG's head didn't look like he just wanted to survive to me. Seems like he was trying to deprive GGG of his five senses!
I don't know who that judge is nor am I familiar with that scorecard. All I know is that Canelo didn't look as if he was in there just trying to survive. What I saw him doing was savagely trying furiously to bludgeon GGG into unconsciousness via caroming punches off his skull.
Don't know you can say that.. GGG was way more active/aggressor throwing a lot more punches and landing more in at least 8 to 9 rounds more
It seems that the only way to beat Canelo is by knocking him out which honestly no one is going to do. Canelo has a good chin, good promotional company behind him and judges too. Is very difficult to beat someone like that. Just because Mayweather was a bigger name than him, Floyd wasn't screwed with a draw (only one judge) despite winning 10 or 11 rounds.
I evaluated the fight differently from the way you have. So I guess we will have to simply agree to disagree. BTW Ineffective activity wheree you are just hitting air is worthless.
Fair enough.. And if you like your picture, I definitely wouldn't want to meet you in the ring.. especially when I look like mine
I don't find my avatar visually pleasant. I just consider that it fits in with the forum's subject-matter nicely.
