Some of those Canelo shots were A-1. GGG used that old boxing trick called poker face to not let his opponent know his power hurt him. Canelo became discouraged
G was marked up, though, Canelo knew he was getting to him, that's why he continued to set traps for G, lure him into a false sense of security, then throwing punches out of nowehre that surprised G. G never experienced that before.
OP must have missed the memo. It's actually GGG that was supposed to stop Canelo with his power(my prediction by the way).
I saw GGG seeing that Canelo was trying to lay a trap off the ropes and not biting until he realized late in the fight that If he want's to touch Canelo he's going to have to take the bait.
I've felt for years that Canelo is a modest puncher at this level so this didn't surprise me. I thought GGG would do more damage with his power. Canelo did show a very sturdy chin and good defense for the most part. Dealing with GGG's jab though is obviously a difficult task for anyone. It's accurate and powerful.
