Hagler was getting hit by JMW's and he's a lock for having a better chin than GGG?
Monzon's majority of fights were against unknown Argentinians; a few of those fights he lost.
Conn, has been stopped, GGG never has so Conn's chin is not that durable if its already been cracked.
Tiger, is like the Oliver McCall of the MW division. Sure he's got a chin, but just because he's been hit with more bombs dosen't make him more durable.
Dillon, Burley and Booker I'm not familiar with heir historic battles, but I would hazard a guess GGG would flourish in that era, and probably beat some of those people by KO. Because he would be the hardest hittign MW any of them would have met during that time. As it would be the case for all the names you mentioned.

Just a quick question, how many of those with a superior chin to GGG, do you think last 12 rds with 30year old prime GGG?

    LoL.

Conn was stopped by Joe Louis , one of the most brutal HW hitters of all time. And go look at the punishment Conn shipped in those fights before he lost.

Well, fair enough, but nonetheless this punch would have floored literally anyone else.

Didn't floor Chavez Jr and he took far more of them than Golovkin did. I guess Juniors chin is a lot better than G's.

I don't see Froch knocking out GGG. You're just speculating GGG would somehow lose his incredible chin by adding 8lbs of muscle. He may lose some of his power, yes. Not his chin. In fact his chin would probably be more durable at SMW, as even Khan's chin got better at a higher weight.

That's just ridiculous. That kind of statement is why i just can't talk to you guys sometimes.

Hagler was "getting hit by junior middleweights"? You must know that's not right. You MUST know that.

Ffs. Conn has a worse chin than Golovkin because he got stopped by Joe Louis?? Can't you see how ridiculous that is? You sound crazy to me when you say this. Possibly the best puncher in HW history stopped him, so "Conn's chin is not that durable"? That's a sickening statement. He was never stopped at MW, LHW and outside of Louis, HW, but you're questioning his durability?

Actually you're right about this - Golovkin might have a better chin than Tiger. He really might. It's not impossible. But. He hasn't proven it.

You think that Golovkin hits harder than Archie Moore, Ezzard Charles, Gunboat Smith, Billy Smith (whose KO1 over ATG light-heavyweight Harold Johnson is one of the most brutal i've ever seen) etc. etc. etc.? OK. I don't know how, but OK.

Where we can agree: Golovkin would have flourished in that era in my opinion too. He's got sturdy hands, great skills, an iron-jaw and he can punch. None of that goes out of fashion. He also strikes me as "hard" enough to box 2,3,4 times a month, though again: not proven.

Many of them are ATG fighters. Some of them would beat him for me, never mind last.

Khan looked like he got knocked dead when he fought Canelo at his highest ever weight , and Canelo isn't even a big puncher.
Khan durability was best at 140.

Hagler has never been hit by GGG type of power before. Hearns, Duran, SRL are elite 154lbs who managed to work their way through different divisions. They was powerful at their own weight, none of them were legit MW's.
Which boxer during Hagler's reign tested his chin, as in who was the hardest hitter he faced? Do you think they knock out GGG at MW?

Conn, moved up in weight and got knocked out vs Joe Louis. This is your argument to say he has a better chin than GGG!?! During Conn's MW run, who was the hardest puncher he faced, and would they knock-out GGG?

GGG, hits harder than Moore, Charles, Smith and Smith at MW. He's a far superior boxer to them all as well.

Let's be honest here, Golovkin tends to take the full force of a punch. There's not much riding the shots with him although he did ride Canelo's best punch of the fight I'll give him that. Taking flush shots like he does isn't going to do him any good that's for sure.

Trust Dino to come up with this shizzle.

    Canelo's not a huge hitter but he's at least a 7/10.

When he got knocked out vs Garcia? Khan's best chin is 147lbs.

As much of a GGG hugger that I am I have to admit that while he MIGHT be what the OP says, since he's demonstrated no weakness, he hasn't been tagged clean by the sort of monster punchers that would be necessary to say this. Although Jacobs hits pretty damn hard.

When he battled with Judah , Peterson and Maidana. He was stopped on his feet against Garcia.

He fought no one at 147 and even got dropped there by 135 pound Diaz.

No. Where is all this crap about Canelo being a huge puncher coming from? Because he has a couple of highlight reel knockouts over guys with weak-chins?

Canelo is a decent puncher. He has a nice skill set and has pretty good defense, but he is not very powerful puncher.
