Hahaha! Well guys like Canelo and Joshua get weeded out by USADA real quick. If they even fart a trace of a PED they're gone. Ask that fraud Jon Jones.

I rewatched it, and have to agree with you, the 7th was Golovkin's. So yeah, 2, 3, 6, 12 for Canelo, the 1st very close but I still thought was GGG's. 116-112, and I now find it harder than I did live to accept a draw. Canelo was successful in spots in a lot of rounds like the 10th, but 15 second spurts don't win rounds. I really came out of this night admiring Canelo's skill and accurate punching ability, but he didn't show enough of it.

The only reasonable score was the 115-113 for GGG that draw was ridiculous as well. 4 rounds is the absolute most you could give Alvarez.

If there was a fix, it was to get Byrd on the ticket and then hope she will see something no one else could. Which she did. Beyond that, I very much doubt there could have been a fix.

Not surprised Bhop defended her record though! ;)

No you're a goon.. the scene had it scored a draw, as did most of the posters who post there, which reflects a close fight which is was.. only idiots had it wide 8-4 or wider for GGG. This .board here, is easily becoming one if the worst because of the biased posters on here who continue to act like GGG can never lose a fight. He did last nite, and a lot of people agree.

    Golovkin vs Canelo

R1 10-9 Canelo Gennady pressuring, stalking, but Canelo getting the better shots.

R2 10-9 Canelo More of the same. Nothing important landed yet.

R3 10-9 Canelo Canelo blocking a lot of Gennady’s punches. Holding his ground and even initiating some exchanges.

R4 10-9 Golovkin Golovkin backs Canelo to the ropes, does some work. Canelo tries to lure him in but Golovkin doesn’t take the bate.

R5 10-9 Golovkin Golovkin gets the better of things on the ropes. Lands a great shot on Canelo. Canelo shakes his head. Then they both start slipping shots and looking fantastic.

R6 10-9 Golovkin Canelo tries to keep things in the center ring, but Golovkin pushes him back to the ropes. Golovkin is trying to knock Canelo out and forcing the pace. Canelo is playing defense and looking for spots. Ring generalship and effective aggression goes to Golovkin.

R7 10-9 Golovkin Canelo was very impressive sliding along the ropes, but Golovkin was beating him up that round. Still, I really like Canelo’s movement tonight.

R8 10-9 Golovkin close. About equal damage, but Golovkin was the aggressor throughout so I’m giving it to him. Golovkin starts out throwing bomb combos. Then they square up in the center and swat each other like bears. Then Golovkin forces Canelo back to the ropes. Canelo got a good bodyshot and a good uppercut I think while Golovkin got one or two good shots in there as well chasing him around.

R9 10-9 Golovkin Great round. They box in a phone booth for the first minute. Canelo lands a huge shot half way through the round and Golovkin walks through it and continues stalking. Great action.

R10 10-9 Golovkin First minute goes to Canelo. Second and third to Golovkin. Golovkin lands monster punch with eleven seconds to go. Golovkin pressing the pace. Canelo trying to hold on.

R11 10-9 Golovkin Lots of exchanging. Canelo looking tired. Golovkin landing more. Nice round. Golovkin pushing Canelo around the ring at a sprint.

R12 10-9 Canelo Real close, but I’ll give it as a mercy round for Canelo. Great slugging in the beginning. Canelo rocked Golovkin but his chin is pure concrete and Golovkin keeps after him. Golovkin rocks Canelo and Canelo holds on, then starts retreating. Canelo gets a few licks in going backward and that’s the fight.

116-112 Golovkin, 117-111 Golovkin is acceptable too.

And Drenlou, 80 percent of the media scored the fight for Golovkin. 10 percent scored it a draw, and 10 percent had a slight victory for Canelo. Results are massively in favor of Golovkin winning this fight.

@drenlou, will all due respect I disagree:

    1) Boxing Scene forum poll had 79.55% of voters saying GGG won, 8% draw, 12.5% Canelo. So "most of the posters" did not score a draw.

    2) Across the media ~80% think that Golovkin won. By all means you are free to disagree and argue the case, but clearly the clear majority of people had Golovkin winning and they deserve respect too.

    3) @theanatolian is definitely not a goon. Simply scoring the fight for GGG doesn't make one a goon. He said that he would've been ok with a majority draw 115-113 114-114 X2. How is that a goon score?

    4) Scoring it 8-4 Golovkin is not a goon score either, a ton of great retired boxers had that score. If you respect any of Lennox Lewis, Al Bernstein, Mike Alvarado, Rigo, Riddick Bowe, Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, etc. you can't say it's a goon score.

    5) I suggest that you rewatch and rescore the fight, from your posts in the RBR I can see that you were very passionately invested. Right from the start you were using strong language against GGG and his fans. You also had money on Canelo winning. Now being passionate is fine, but it does not lead to good scoring.

I will never place much value on the scorecard of someone who is rooting hard on the night - I had to watch the fight myself again too. With the Kovalev-Ward I fight my card changed the next day towards Ward on rewatching - I had missed some of the good work he did. With the Jacobs fight you had it 10-2 on the night due to the above effect, and 7-5 the next day - it shows how hard it can be to score a fight when you really like one fighter and dislike the other. UTF's 117/118-111 Golovkin-Canelo card was a bit wide too for the same reason. It happens to all of us.

Noone acts like GGG can't lose fight moron. Majority of the fighters, fans, and media scored the fight for him which includes plenty of non-GGG fans, because, he deserved the Win. And some of the very knowledgeable and unbiased posters here like @Rumsfeld and @Drew101 had him clearly winning, which is probably the main reason of your butthurt, seeing that you can't hide behind that idiotic "because of his fans" excuse for your blind hatred.

You calling people "goons" is the most ironic thing I've seen in a while(and that includes Adelaide's scorecard) given that you're the very definition of it.

115-113 is reasonable but a 1 point swing the other way is not possible?

    GTFO lol

I had actually put another $200 on Canelo since the odds had gotten better, so yeah I was very emotionally invested, but I scored the fight with several people on a really big tv with the surround sound on and was watching very closely and from the offset Canelo was throwing good shots while GGG was throwing mostly hand and pawing ones at that. Round 1 was close but I gave it to Canelo based on his punches that were power shots as opposed to Jabs that weren't landed flush by GGG... People really seemed to have a problem with the way I first scored that round so I said **** it, people are going to be stupid let it be.. Not to mention U TF giving me **** for the last 2 weeks about my scoring for the Jacobs fight. It just set me off. That said I will restore the fight, and maybe it will change or maybe it won't but a 7-5 Canelo win isn't as far fetched as a 117-111 card for GGG.

I'm not sure about this myself but let's see how the rescoring goes. It was such a good fight that I am going to watch it a third time as well.

Honestly the 118-110 Byrd is the main reason for the rage, that is incomprehensible.

That was upon rewatching the fight. Your fight night card was 10-2 Jacobs. I'd like an apology for last night man!
