Morrison overlooked Mercer, and had just filmed Rocky 5. Morrison defeats Mercer in a rematch in all likelyhood with smarter fighting via like foreman . Mercer pretty much admitted to that bc he self said he was lucky and ready to quit from Morrison's bombs. People dont really look into losses but against a great talent like Joshua? That being said...Joshua wouldn't be over looked on size alone but it plays out like the Lewis fight but shorter in a clash of style where both go for early k.os. Joshua for the win of course.
You were drunk then if you TRULY think that . Come on now you know who was around in that era and morrison was a top guy who could k.o anyone at any giving time...stop the madness and bias bc he didnt defeat Lewis who was a monster in that fight,at that time HIV could have also been wearing him down? Who cares the guy could fight and had a helluva punch...let it go.... lol
Lmao no **** Morrison beat Foreman, congratulations you can read a boxing record. If you actually knew anything about the era and the fighters who were in it you would see that Morrison's resume is pretty shallow and he lost nearly every time he stepped up.
Who cares what his resume is both guys were belt holders making them top guys in that time period. And No boxing rec was created for newbs like you who came AFTER the internet era..KIDS who cant decipher reality from fantasy...lol Question foolish one? If Morrison wasn't a TOP guy why the push for a Tyson fight in the 90's? Moron! lol
He held a paper title in an era when there were 4 to get! Not exactly impressive. Morrison was ranked in the top 10 for all of 2 years ('92-'93) during which he reached the astonishing rank of *drum roll* number 9! Wow how impressive! I said boxing record you illiterate dingbat, not boxrec (what I assume you are referring to unless you are dumber than previously thought) and there is no site called "boxing rec"
Box rec is looking at a boxing record isn't you DOPE? when or how long either were around is irrelevant ...they were TOP guys in the 90's. what I like about you is you don't even troll...you are genuinely this stupid this is great !
"And No boxing rec was created for newbs like you who came AFTER the internet era..KIDS who cant decipher reality from fantasy...lol" So you are saying Boxing Records were created for Newbs who came after the Internet. I hate to break this to you, but they been keeping boxing records for over 100 years.
No moron, there are plenty of other places where it is listed. Are you really going to try and sit there and say you remember all of Tommy Morrison's opponents? Lmao give me a break you clown.
Morrison was possibly in the top 5 or 6 for a brief spell (4 1/2 months) in 1993 after nicking a decision against old man Foreman with his "run away, run away !" performance for the fraudulent "WBO title". He "defended" the "title" against a tomato can from Indiana named Tim Tomashek. He was then blasted out by ex-amateur star (unranked as a pro) Michael Bent in 1 round, losing his "Title" and any claim to being a serious contender in the division. The rest of his prime years career he was on the fringe of the top 10 at best. He was a hype job white hope from Oklahoma. His left hook and slightly Hollywood looks (and a part in Rocky V) made him way more marketable than your average Okie Palooka. Don't get me wrong, the guy was a fighter and had heart. But he was very limited, a second rater, not a consistent top fighter in his era.
Lots of top fighters from the last 15 years of this era wouldn't have gotten a sniff of the top 10 during the 90's.
