Everyone is hating on Byrd (rightfully so), but Trella also ****ed up big time when he gave round 7 to Alvarez. Golovkin clearly outlanded the Mexican in that round, in both categories (jab and power punches). Even Byrd gave that round to GGG, Moretti did as well. Had Trella not made this mistake, Golovkin would have won a split decision.

He also gave last 3 rounds to Canelo.
I think NSAC does this on purpose, have one outrageous card so it takes attention away from another horrible card.

Now we're supposed to accept HIS card as the normal one.

As I've said before, judges get real good at math when they've got a specific target score to meet. See also: Ward-Kovalev I, round 10.

Trella was always supposed to deliver the draw.

Byrd was supposed to deliver an outrageous card because that's what she's known for, and it deflects attention from little moves like Trella's that end up making a massive difference. I'm sure she's well compensated for being the shield.

Exactly, they are working as a system, deflect and confuse tactic.
Now people are saying the draw is not a bad card because it seems sensible compared to Byrd's score.
Very slick. They have essentially duped people to believe Trella's score is acceptable, it's ****ing not.

I just reviewed my notes. That seemed a clear GGG round. Still have to watch it again, but I mostly recall it in my mind and my thought was that Canelo was starting to slow down and GGG was starting to catch up to him.

Golovkin had a good round 7. He won that round easily. Canelo won rounds, but not that one :nonono

Fight should be ruled a no contest.

Rounds 4-9 were all GGG. I don't see why everyone gave Canelo the first round either. He was being hit with GGG's jab a ton. Even if you do give him 1,2,3,10,and 12, it's still 7-5 in favor of GGG.

Byrd and Trella are just part of totally corrupted system that is managed by gambling industry and oscar de la hoya promotion company. It's not surprise Oscar is having trouble in his civil life - he knows he is destroying the sport that gave him so much. Just sad. Fans should not support this s... anymore - we shouldn't support any fight nights promoted by these gangsters.

I remember watching that round and thinking, if any judge gives that round to Canelo then you know the fix was in.

And everyone else who cashed a check from this the first time around lol.

The rematch is arguably the biggest money fight left in boxing, and the guys pulling the strings didn't get to where they were by leaving opportunities like THAT on the table.
