Where would you rank GGG - Canelo in terms of robberies in boxing history?

Not the worst but clearly a bad decision. But you have to admit, this is a trend for CA. Got a draw on one scorecard for the mayweather fight, and got wide scorecards vs. trout, lara and cotto. Its getting pathetic how they are milking this cash cow.

Glad to see that the majority of responses in this thread actually knows that a draw is not a robbery, when the fight is pretty close and competitive throughout. One card was abysmal though.

I think GGG would be in his rights to quote Joe Jacobs, Max Schmeling's manager after his controversial loss to Jack Sharkey.
    "We wuz robbed "

not a robbery , GGG just exposed as a skilless punching plodder, (mayweather "nothing to this guy")

just a close damn fight, where the styles were very contrasting making it difficult to score, canelo starting early in the round winning the first half, GGG coming on late in the second half of the round and winning. wtf how do you judge that most effective punching good luck with that subjective quagmire.

Canelo has done the same minimal activity thing his whole career and been the beneficiary of decisions, so it wasn't particularly surprising. I put $10 on the draw at 8/1 in the 12th & some on Canelo as it was clear that's the way it was going. It wasn't a robbery but Golovkin clearly outworked him.

Well when one judge has their mind made up before the first bell - it does have a bearing on the result.
I felt Triple G won 8-4 - 7-5 but Canelo did better than I expected and if he could have fought an entire 3 minute round he may have legitimately pulled the upset. But he never does and Triple G forced the fight and never tired. Good fight - wrong result. Not the worst draw by a long shot. I agree with that. However Byrd's score re-affirms everyone's worst fear regarding the sport. 10-2 is beyond explanation. If her score was 114-114 I would have been upset but given what it was makes my feeling far worse.

it didnt have a bearing on the result. its common for one judge to pick up on one fighter more, thats why we have three.

what you are commenting on had NO bearing on the rsult.

Byrd had maybe the worst card in a big fight I have ever seen. 10-2. HBO, boxnation, espn all had 8-4 Triple G. If a compentent judge or one that wasn't bought off sits in place of Byrd Triple G's chance of winning goes up exponentially. Even 114-114 was a slight stretch.

nope the issue is You if you can't see that having one judge in the pocket alters a fighters favor dramatically. If fighter A has a judge bought off he needs only 1 (50 percent) of the remaining judges to gain the favorable outcome. Fighter B needs both (100 percent)

I think that it would be nice to hear her side anyway. Seems only fair.

it didnt alter the fight dramatically. If it had been 118-117 its still a draw.

And now you are having a go at 114-114 for goodness sake, as if your first error wasnt bad enough!

What is stopping you from seeing that?

    Tell me why.

    Pacquiao/Bradley 1 was worse imo.
