Teddy Atlas just told it like it is

I don't know if you were arguing with me or not, but within a range let's say 6-6 Canelo to 8-4 GGG those scores can potentially be justified and argued, but 10-2 for either fighter, particularly Canelo is absurd. I thought the 115-113 was the best score card of the 3.

 

Teddy's screaming and targeting the lack of a 'national commission' has annoyed me for so long. Boxing doesn't and shouldn't revolve around the US so a 'national commission' isn't good enough. If a promoter has any issues in the States they can put on a fight with 'their offcials' elsewhere.

And what does commission 'oversight' matter anyway? The problem is promoters make the matches and pay officials, and they have a preferred winner every time. There will only be change and less chance of bad decisions if self-interested promoters aren't making the fights and aren't the employers of officals! Any change that doesn't go that deep is just window dressing.

 

I had it 8 rounds to 4 Golovkin as did Harold Lederman...................in no way was that a draw. Oscar thinks the boxing fans are stupid enough to believe this just happened, it was planned. As I posted, Golovkin needs a knockout to get a draw! I think the rematch will not take place in Vegas, they are thinking about MSG, NY with proven neutral judges...........................at least that is being asked. Bob Bennett said that Byrd was a proven great judge, had never had a bad decision! Hell, she has made bad decisions for years! Ban her!

 

this mentality is stupid. we let one bad scorecard slip, one slighted decision, and one more black eye for boxing and the cycle never ends. as it is, boxing scoring is laughable and these scorecards are a running joke.
byrd not judging again is granted. more needs to be done to ensure **** like this doesn't happen again

 

I've no idea why Teddy if getting so upset anyhows. He's always been dismissive of GGG. He dosen't even have him in his p4p list for some reason. He probably dosen't after tonight.

 

I just a found a clip of Atlas stating that he had it 118-110 for Triple G lol. So he's criticizing the 118-110 from Bryd calling that corrupt but he himself had the same score for Triple G much wider than anyone else had lol. Talk about hypocrisy from Atlas.

 

So what was your scorecard then? I'm not saying let it slide.. I'm saying.. People saying the whole sport is corrupt are stupid. One bad scorecard doesn't make the whole sport corrupt... It makes that judge incompetent. Nothing more, nothing less. One bad scorecard didn't ruin boxing when it was Canelo/Mayweather. If you scored the fight like an actual judge has to.. (Effective Agressivness, Clean Punching, Ring Generalship, Defense) Then the fight is close. Like I told someone else.. Rounds 1-2-3-10-11-12.. A strong argument can be made Canelo won those rounds.. The 1st 2 and last two are irrefutable. If you're mad with that one scorecard.. Then hell ya.. I'm with you.. If you're calling this a robbery.. I can't with you

 

I agree. I had it 7-5 GGG. That 118-110 scorecard should be banned from Boxing. Absolute joke of a card

 

Actually I'm right. 118-110 was the only bad scorecard of the night. I wasn't talking about her past judging

 

Teddy is tired of this crap.That is what happens when you follow boxing so long.
The cash cow gets the benefit of the doubt for obvious reasons. It has happened and will happen again.
It is all about the money. The fans are getting ****ed here and some do not even see it

 

114-114 is a terrible scorecard when you dig a little deeper and see the judge had to give Canelo round 7 to get there.

 

A joke is 118-110. Scoring one close rounds in favor of Canelo is not. Canelo out landed GGG in power shots in 7 rounds of that fight. if 114-114 is a joke then there's nothing else we can discuss.

 

You must be very naive. Boxing is the most corrupt sport in the world bare none. It is also a sport which is tremendously resistent against much needed reforms, unlike any other sport.

Strong argument blablabla...This has happened time and time again and will continue happen.It is not one bad scorecard, there is a bigger picture here, then again if you are new to the sport you might not see it.

Canelo the younger fighter, the cash cow, he will get favoured by the judges. It is all about money.
