That is exactly my thoughts as well. I am really surprised that so many folks talk about robbery.

Canelo wasn't active enough or consistent enough. He did have some good counters, but he was also missing like Clubber Lang at the end of Rocky III in there on several.

How was he exposed? GGG was this superhuman puncher if anything was exposed it's that his power is vastly overrated.

It was well contested, it wasnt really close, certainly not close enough to struggle to split them. The winner of the fight was clear, well around 95% of the people who watched it. The judging was bad, the decision was wrong there is no doubt about it. Canelo fought very well considering who he was in with and proved alot of people wrong about his standing in this division, Golovkin fans need to make sure they give him his credit but he lost the fight.

Too damn close for me to call, except if you have special rose colored demigod glasses then its obvious ggg win

i agree with the OP unfortunately judging boxing matches where there is no clear knockdowns, blood or wobbles is highly subjective. even professionally trained judges can be biased to different scoring criteria.

i believe if you ask 9 out of 10 non partial observers they would say that was a great close fight. problem is where do you find 10 non partial observers lol

if 2 judges had draw cards it would look better but there is no way a judge can have canelo winning this so it makes it look like a fix

Canelo won 1-2 & 11. Most people ain't saying Canelo never did anything in between, he did plenty. GGG just did a lot more and landed more shots.

It was a competitive fight, I can't say it was close enough to make a case for going either way.

The absolute closest I can come to (giving canelo every round he landed a any clean effective punches is 7/5 ggg. This could be seen by some 10/2 in rounds but only for ggg.

Canelo was fighting strictly to survive from the 4th on. The 11th and 12th he came out hard for 15 to 30 seconds then was systematically taken over by the.

Canelo is a top p4p elite talent with a great chin but he put on too much upper body mass for this fight. Canelo will wait till sept 2018 to rematch but ggg is still very much at the top of his game and unbeatable @mw/sms.

Watching live my emotions and expectations got the better of me and felt a draw was fine and even could had went to either fighter.

After breaking it down over a few viewings all those "misses" I originally saw were mostly connecting. Ggg broke canelo down and only canelos chin and size kept him upright.

Ggg 8/4 is being fair to both and only corruption is what ruined (only on paper) ggg being factually the most dominant mw champ ever

I thought it was close (7-5, first watching, my opinion may change) but that it was pretty obvious that Golovkin won. Maybe I gave Canelo too much credit for not simply folding like a lawn chair? I thought he was actually pretty impressive in spots.

There are two types of pressure

    1. Effective pressure
    2. Ineffective pressure

You are obviously not aware of the difference between the twain.

    BTW
GGG was missing approx. 50% of his punches while running face-first into power-punch counters.

That's the problem. It was a good competitive fight. And there were plenty of us saying GGG wouldn't get a fair shake if it went to the cards. We were right. No way in hell was this a 10-2 fight and if confirms a lot of what people thought.
