I've got a challenge for you. Rate the following chins in order: GG Marvin Eubank Froch Toney Collins I can't do it.
Roy's chin is and always was disgusting. GGG could take a better shot when he was a little baby than prime Roy ever could. Even Roy's roids couldn't help increase his punch resistance to adequate level.
That sounds like the No True Scotsman fallacy :https://www.thoughtco.com/the-no-true-scotsman-fallacy-250339
Since GGG stood up to his punches it seems. Suddenly and magically now they claim that he is a tremendous puncher and that proves that GGG has a tremendous chin. Before, according to them, he was a powder-puff-pity-patter knocking out glass-jawed bums.
GGG - Taunts opponents after they uppercut him! Hagler - I think his chin is made of glass but his dome is made of diamond! Unstoppable. Toney - His Philly shell goes all the way back to his chin. Eubank - Survived Benn, Watson, Collins & Thompson Collins - I get knocked around but I get up again Froch - Stop hitting my bloody nose.
Doesn't prove that such denigration hasn't occurred. Only proves that you haven't run into it for some reason which is beyond me since such denigration has been constantly occurring previous to last night's fight. I could gather all the comments and show you but the amount of time and effort isn't worth it.
GGG has never been down I remember reading an article in a boxing magazine many years ago that said contrary to popular belief Marvin has actually been down before. Against an Argentine fighter (not the beastly punching Roldan). I have no idea if it's true Eubank was down against Super Joe and 2 or 3 (or was it 4) other fighters Froch was down against Groves, Taylor (can't remember if he was down against anyone else right now I've barely slept and my brain is still switched to off lol) Toney was down and badly hurt by Reggie Johnson and feather fists Tiberi hurt him too Collins was down against Kevin Watts (that was a body shot though IIRC), and Craig Cummings dropped him hard. Of course Eubank dropped him heavily too, the same Eubank who bounced huge bombs off Super Joe's iron beard all night who you've conveniently yet totally predictably decided not to include on your list. I think this is a not so cunning ploy by you to give you an excuse to take part in your second favourite pastime: Hating on Calzaghe. The first is obviously blowing smoke up Roy's ass 24/7/365 and trying to convince the world that he literally walked on water. So they've all been down and hurt, GGG has never been down or seriously hurt so he's #1. But seriously, all of those guys had fantastic beards and I wouldn't even attempt to try and rank them. Especially not in my current state lol
It isn't a fallacy if you can back it up but don't want to waste time doing so by attempting to convince invincible ignorance. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invincible_ignorance_fallacy
Naive post. Just because a punch has the weight to drop someone doesn't mean the person was hurt. Golovkin has better balance not a better chin. Let's see how he'd take a cruiserweights bombs flush like Eubank & Toney could. Think before you post!
