Go look in the prediction thread I said it would go just like the Brook fight GGG winning in 5 rounds but 114-114 is a very reasonable score.
I think we are getting a little too over dramatic here. Canelo landed some good shots but GGG was unfazed and walked through them like it was nothing. GGG landed some decent shots but nothing that really damaged Nelo. It was more of a boxing chess match and tactical fight with a lot of small rounds being used. The big shots came from a man just getting acclimated to a higher weight who's punches aren't considered heavy artillery. No one took a beating in this one. It was more of who won a boxing match by imposing their game plan more effectively. Golovkin obviously took the fight and it was fun to watch because Nelo showed up and gave a good account of himself in a losing effort. The rematch was manufactured with the decision but the 2nd encounter won't be a between anyone who is considered "damaged goods". Nelo just has to work on his game plan, stamina and power. It will be a closer friendship fight if he can make the adjustments....if not, it will be a repeat of what we saw last night with more scrutiny on the judges to actually get it right
You cant take punches like that and not leave something in the ring. Margarito looked completely unfazed by Miguel Cotto's punches in their first fight but Antonio Margarito was clearly never the same after the punishment he received in that fight.

No way....Margaito looked beaten down and banged up in the rematch as well as their first encounter. He is just durable. Margarito was never the same after the PAC encounter and it showed in the rematch. This fight with GGG and Nelo didn't look anything like those two fights between Cotto and Marg. Cotto was landing at will, and at a 40+% connect percentage. No defense at all. Cotto felt the effects of Margs punches a lot more than Nelo or GGG felt against each other
It's true that 3G looked easy to hit plenty Times in his career. But after watching this fight, if you claim or even imply that his defence is on the same ball park as that of Margarito's, you don't know **** about boxing.
Boxing is a cruel sport. Boxing fans are most selfish. Even Floyd Mayweather got booed in Grand Rapids MI against Carlos Hernandez. It comes with thw territory when youre the face of boxing. No big thing. Not the first time Canelo gets booed. He got booed against Angulo before the fight started.. Remember this new boxing fan.. Unfortunately in boxing your as good as your last performance.
