No, the draw was the right call. Neither guy looked too dominant. Both had great moments in the fight and very bad moments.

Can't believe people are saying that Golovkin wouldn't pick up a loss somewhere fighting the schedule that Hagler did.

Golovkin would probably lose to Duran from the Hagler fight, Leonard, and pick up at least 1 maybe 2 losses on the way up.

Haven't really read any posts on here that are knocking GGG's performance against Canelo. People are just saying he hasn't beat anyone.

Well he's just beat the other two best in the division whilst clearly showing signs of being past it.

I might be being a tad harsh on Golovkin but I'm always pissy when I don't get my own way.

I'm just so disappointed for him because I think he's a cracking man and deserves all the accolades out there.

I truly thought he was going to be unstoppable until he decided to hang the gloves up.

Sonny , let me throw you a bone......unless you sit at Ringside, which you have never ever been at a Championship fight, as a matter of fact, you have not been even in the zipcode of it, you have NO BUSINESS scoring a fight.......as far as Reporters, lol, the get paid to create controversy and are incredible biased......remember, Hillary in a landslide with a 92 % chance of winning..................you professional internet debaters will never learn.

As far as the thread topic, the moment Superman stepped up from bums and Skinnies he struggled aka Jacobs/Canelo.......he would never get by Hagler, SRL ,Duran or Hearns......he is a basic Red Army come forward pressure fighter without any adaption abilities ....and for all his "granite chin " talk and Ko'ing Heavyweights in sparring, he sure was gun shy last night to get countered and his power was average at best even against Jacob, the knock down was more of a off balance shot than lights out.

    Overhyped meet reality. The end

What is overhyped is your ability to disguise your different accounts, saddo......

Leonard definitely has the best chance. Speed and slick boxing is the best, perhaps only way, of beating Golovkin. But I don't think he had the stamina to do it over 12. Especially with Golovkin's jab in the equation.

Duran had the right skills in the pocket but not the size, power and work rate when at MW. He'd be giving up some 15 lbs in the ring.

But trying to offensively overwhelm Golovkin without having very good defense and chin along with good or very good power just won't work. Hearns and Mugabi would end up more or less as they did against Hagler. Probably somewhat sooner.

Golovkin would pick up losses. Hagler did. And I don't think Golovkin is as good as Hagler.

But some of the anti-Golovkin sentiment and dismissiveness towards his resume and achievements is lamentable.
Give him his due credit. He's a quality fighter and yes he is clearly past his prime and that's been evident for about 3 last fights now.

Alvarez boxed marvellously last night and is young and despite what people say is a strong solid middleweight in his own right now, as big as Golovkin anyway. And what we saw was an older man outpacing, outworking the younger faster man.

I don't think Hagler lost to Leonard and I don't think Duran deserved more than 4 or 5 rounds, and Hearns was crushed. I'd expect Golovkin to beat those particular fighters too ! Although Leonard might be able to con the judges.

Sibson, Roldan, Obelmejias would be interesting.

You think Duran was a better middleweight than Canelo? I don't think he'd have the power to keep Golovkin honest.

I feel like if he fought Golovkin like he did Hagler then he could get the W
