Based on the criteria of rigged judges. AND they were rigged judges. All they needed to do to give Canelo the fight was change 1 round. Why didin't they?

Is it because they wanted to force GBP into a a rematch and make more money that way?

I mean lets face it, everybody on the forum thought that Golovkin would have to get multiple knockdowns to win the fight, but nobody expected the fight end up a draw.

will they rob golovkin next time? They are clearly in control of the scoring.

I had Canelo up by 14 rounds, at most Golovkin won 2 rounds. Even though Golovkin was not knocked down, I still gave Canelo a knockdown in his favor just because he's the cash cow and deserves more money. Golovkin got exposed as paper champion, Golovkin got chased around the ring like a horny man wanting a prostitute. Golovkin is no good, Gervonta Davis knocks out Golovkin when he moves up. Jacobs got robbed against Golovkin and Pirog. Boxing is racist against Jacobs.

Jacobs and Canelo were robbed against triple G.

The guy simply doesn't have enough boxing skills to best the best of his division.

I just rewatched the fight, rescored it 116-112 for Golovkin instead of 114-114. Starting to get salty at the decision, really think Golovkin deserved the nod.

    I say its Drenlou's fault!!!

If he hadn't gone so overboard about a Canelo KO none of this draw fiasco would have happened!!!!

Jacobs performed a lot better against GGG and could have been awarded the W but Alvarez got a gift. The Lara vs Canelo fight was ultra close like the Jacobs vs GGG fight. This past Saturday wasn't close, just competitive and exciting. GGG won....he just didn't get the W on paper. The strong majority have weighed in on what they thought about the "draw", ranging from the casual boxing fans to professional boxers to boxing analyst and almost all of them are in consensus that GGG won in clear fashion

Nah. I believe Canelo controlled GGG a lot better. No knockdown first of all. Largely because Canelo started out first and forced GGG to respect his power from the outset. Danny started out slow against Triple G and only once he decided to box him and not let GGG get off first he largely controlled him.

Canelo controlled GGG from the start. GGG kept coming forward after Alvarez's combo's but he wouldn't be landing much nor throwing anything hard - mostly weak jabs and hooks that kept hitting the guard.

I'm sure Moretti will never judge a Canelo fight again for that robbery lol.

Re-watched the fight. Originally had it 7-5 GGG. Canelo won rounds 1-2-10-11-12 and kept it the same. Thought GGG did just enough to win the fight

Lets take another look at rounds 3 and 7, and discuss what specifically won those rounds for G. Also maybe take another look at round 4 as well.

Round 3 was a toss up round to me.. Honestly felt this round could've gone to Canelo, why I'm okay with 114-114. Round 4 GGG kept backing Canelo to the ropes and working him. Ring Generalship. GGG landed the more telling blows in this round. Clear round for GGG. Round 7 GGG was basically chasing Canelo around the ring peppering him with his jab and connecting with hard right hands and left hooks. He was much busier. Clear round for GGG. Most people on press row and in the media had this fight 115-113 or a draw. Again.. People are more pissed about the scorecard than the result Imo. If you ask everyone to go round by round.. I promise there will be cards no worse than 8-4 for GGG. Or 6-6. POSSIBLY, if you're being generous.. 7-5 for Canelo.

The knockdown was legit, but more of a flash. Danny got caught up on the ropes and paid for it, but he wasn't back peddling nearly as much as Alvarez was against GGG. Jacobs had much greater success against GGG controlling the fight whereas Alvarez never really found consistency controlling range, pace or tempo.

To see a fight where Alvarez actually had "control", just look at his fight with Kirkland, Liam or Kahn....then rewatch the fight against GGG. The disparity is definitive and a stark contrast when looking at the performances side by side. The truth is, Alvarez was fighting GGGs fight, not the other way around. Not to say Alvarez didn't have marginal success....he certainly did but Nelo got hit more than he has in any other fight against Golovkin....back pedaled more and found himself on the ropes more as well. The jab of Golovkin was something that gave Nelo all kinds of problems which lead to him eating a healthy serving of right hands and some sharp uppercuts. Believe me.....those punches may have looked weak, but Nelo wouldn't have been on his bike for 12 rounds if that were the case. Golovkin has heavy hands. Not very explosive or flashy, but Canelo made the conscious effort to back peddle not for the reason of avoiding a bunch of "weak" punches.
