I think he'd make him look bad and avoid more jabs. I'm not sure he would win, though.

I think he'd do better than Cotto or Saunders due to his cuban style. Maybe similar performance to Jacobs.

Nope. Canelo a natural counter-puncher had success vs Lara. What would a natural non-stop aggressor do to Lara? I expect a brutal KO in this match-up.

No, I don't think he has the power nor the counter-punching ability of Canelo.

Lara was deathly afraid of the power of the 2014 Canelo ie not the Incredible Hulk 2.0 Canelo of 2017

Canelo was massive... Bigger, wider, more muscular than GGG. He looked to be about 185-190.

I agree that he can't counter like Nelo. But also, his weaker chin which would seriously interfere with his aggression and force him to be even more evasive than he was with Nelo.

Yes, that's an important point I missed.

Don't think he'd last the distance, honestly. GGG is much better at cutting the run off than Cinnamon & is a terrible style matchup for him.

Lara would have easily make the distance and that's why ggg and his team wanted no part of him. Lara winning a decision would be difficult given how ggg's fights are scored. Every scoring jab scored as a power punch and if he actually does land a power punch, round won automatically. Lara would at least have stopped ggg's knockout streak earlier and now that it has been stopped it didn't mean much anyways.

He's got some good skills and can run for days. He can pot shot GGG and run for cover definitely.. I think GGG wins but Lara would present some issues that s for sure.

Oh yeah, Lara is a good fighter. He got skills for sure.

But I tend to agree with @Radrook, you need an excellent chin to beat GGG and I'm not sure Lara has that. Also does he have the power to keep GGG off him?

Laras chin is pretty good, I think that GGG'S power is a bit overrated so I think Lara might be able to take it for the most part. And I don't think Lara has the power to keep GGG FROM coming Foward but he's got enough slickness to maybe frustrate him early.. I think GGG eventually stops him late though.
