Plenty of good fights for Parker in the US.

I would have thought an Andy Ruiz rematch is logical given how close the first fight was.

    Jennings is another good fight.

Parker is based in Las Vegas. Why he isn't fighting there is beyond me.

This is probably the most ironically, badly promoted fight I've ever seen for a 'big matchup'.

I just keep feeling like it's not going to happen for some reason.

so then we'd just be left with 'the fights already sold out so go to stubhub' hearn, fleecing us for PPVs on top of subscriptions just so that prince charles can drive around in a different colour bentley each day? also, which belt are the furies currently holding hostage? parkers last fights have been atrocious.

Predicting it now. Parker will KO Hughie. But cousin Tyson will see this and want revenge so the King will return back to boxing and put on a masterclass 12 round beating that will have Parker wishing he never came across the Furys.

    The King will return.

I'm starting to believe that Parker is a top notch operator but suffers from a BJS-like affliction where he fights relative to the level of his opponent even if there's a strong gulf in class. I think he'll win close but clear here 115-113 or 116-112 only to get shafted by the local judges. He's going to have to real put it to Fury if he wants to win this.

Both these fighters seem featherfisted to me, can't see this ending in a KO which means Parker will probably get shafted by the judges you are right.

I don't think he's featherfisted at all.. He just doesn't sit own on his punches enough at world level, Parker that is of course. a trainer like Sanchez would bring out the beast in him.

I don't like Eddie Hearn but he's a lot more professional than Team Fury and Fat Mick. Fast Car, unbearable smug twat that he is has given us a number of massive fights in the past few years and looks set to make plenty more.

The Fury's on the other hand couldn't sell out to Stubhub if they wanted to as they can't shift tickets for love nor money. We know they're massive hypocrites so for all we know they might well do something similar if given the chance.

BJS is closely connected with the Furys and I expect Hughie to be similarly inactive/reluctant to make big fights/unify should he win a strap. Nothing about their behaviour in the run up to making this fight has convinced me otherwise. And Tyson kept a legend of the sport in limbo whilst he dicked about throwing the division into chaos.

If Parker wins, don't be surprised if he joins Matchroom.

Parker is not the biggest hitter out there but he is NOT feather fisted.

    Hughie however.

Because the WBO forced him to defend vs Hughie and his promoters couldn't afford the same amount as the UK option.

He's not feather-fisted, he doesn't have power like Joshua or Wlad but has far more than Hughie for instance.

That being said he needs to actually use it, pressure Hughie and make him uncomfortable, and beat him into retreat.

Unfortunately I have lost faith with Barry and I expect Parker to come out trying to beat Hughie by retreating and fighting of the back foot, which is why I have predicted a Fury decision.

    Really, really hope I'm wrong.
