Again, see Ali example mentioned above. Or LeBron example.

Guys do age. It happens at different rates and affects different styles at different rates (Pacquiao style fades faster than Mayweather style, for example), but everyone gets old.

    Yep.

The most noticeable decline in LeBron is his defense, as you pointed out. It's not even close to his prime years now.

Agreed on understanding how superb 35 year old GGG is to be able to take on the young lions.

Look I like %90 of "TRUE" Boxing Fan's know that Golovkin won at the Weekend no question....but one thing I will concede Canelo has a Granite Chin... Could Possibly be second to Golovkin when it comes to Chin's....He is Tough also and He proved He is a Warrior....Good as Golovkin I don't think so Golovkin has no weakness really a bit one Dimensional but When You have an absolute Granite Chin and Great Power in both Hands that does not matter...Having said that it will be all down Hill from now for GGG Age Favours no one and what I did see from Canelo is the Possibility he could be the Fighter that takes the Baton from Golovkin...I rate Golovkin P4P number 1 after that Fight...I said whoever Wins get's that Title....But having said that Canelo has to be 2 or 3...

I agree Canelo has a strong chin.

But if Jose Cotto can do this, then GGG can KO Canelo. Go to 1:20 or so into the video.

GGG can knock out just about anyone. And he could KO Canelo, I'm sure, if GGG were still in his prime.

Doubt it. GGG isn't that past prime if at all, he's looked worse than he did a year or two ago because he's actually stepped up in competition.

GGG from the Canelo fight is good enough to beat any MW on the planet and I would favor him over most if not all LMWs and SMWs including Eubank.

Yeah was 22 in that fight think he has stepped up a notch...having said that no Middleweight beats a Prime Golovkin end of story...but the emphasis is on "Prime" Golovkin...I hope he has 2 or 3 more Fights and retires undefeated...hope he does not go down the Path of most of the Past Greats and go back to the well to many times...

I think GGG fights 2 more years, at most.

The time is coming to step aside. I don't think he wants to hang on for too long.

Many claim this is an excuse.... But it isn't within the proper context.

I for one said that Golovkin has clearly lost a step, but is still elite and should beat Canelo so it wouldn't be on the table in the event of a loss. and he did according to most... I had it 117-111 for Golovkin.

Golovkin is 35, is a boxer-puncher, has been a pro for 11 years, also had a lengthy amateur career. Anyone who knows anything should know that the male body begins to seriously decline at this time, your testosterone levels begin to drop. Age is especially unfriendly to aggressive fighters. This is a known fact.... For me it's clear that Golovkin had more 2-3 years ago and then he does today. Someone will foolishly claim that it's just because he's upped the competition, but if you have an eye that's clearly not the case.

He a was an absolute Monster no doubt...Probably still is but yes hope he has a couple more Fights and call's it quits...One thing I think even his bigger Critics could not argue with....He has possibly one of the Greatest chin's I have ever seen....Canelo tagged him with some Monster Shot's at the weekend and I swear he did not even Blink...

Can't help wondering if both parties were in on this you know, both guys looked mighty ok with the draw to me,so much money at stake I'm finding it hard to just go with it.
What a psy op it would be if everyone just blames it on GB when infact both teams are in on it?

Of course as Kellerman used to say it wasn't just the opponents but the manner in which he was dealing with em.

Go on YouTube and see a vid called the point where Canelo showed fear against GGG,I swear Canelo hits him flush on the button of his chin and he just shrugs it off,Canelos eyes widen and he visibly wilts from his shoulders down lol.
Must be a nightmare to face

Don't worry Canelo did learn that the Old Fella still has the Best Chin in Boxing...that fight at the weekend confirmed it...He would have learned also the only way to beat Golovkin is work Rate...or Dodgy Judges....You can not win by TKO...

Prime GGG vs This version of Canelo is another 50/50 Fight!
