Derevyanchenko was so good in that fight. Johnson's style was the boogey man style that many claim is kryptonite for E.E.'s. Strong inside fighting, moving forward and crowding yet he got played with and served a horrific beating. The narrative will now be that Johnson could not execute the style well enough or their other default setting of a slick master boxer schooling him.

Because guys like that grow on tree's. LOL

Would love an honest account of how Derevyanchenko does sparring Jacobs. That's one thing that does not get mentioned regarding Jacobs resurgence. All the great sparring he gets/got from Derevyanchenko, Khytrov and Khurtsidze.

Derevyanchenko is good but not great. Saunders level, not Golovkin level. I'd favor Jacobs, Canelo, even Lemieux over him. I figure they'd all knock Johnson out in under five. Derevyanchenko should fight Murata and Lemieux to really get a gauge for his level.

Yeah I was very worried during the RBR, I thought Johnson was going to get seriously hurt and I'm honestly surprised that he's ok.

I think he's better than that, I'd favour him over Lemiuex and Murata.

Plus I don't think Canelo nor Golovkin can beat him without going to war and taking a lot of punishment, even if they do get the W.
