Wilder will win by late KO. Then all people who have been saying that Wilder should step up and fight Ortiz will tell us that Ortiz was a bum and Wilder is a joke who never fights live opponents.

If Wilder wins by late KO and looks good doing so "all the people" that have been saying he should step up would have been correct. Understand?

    LoL,

Now if after Wilder KO's Ortiz a portion of those people say "Ortiz" was only a bum, well that's on them, they still were correct that he needed to step up.

Stepping up is GOOD, he needs to step up and face other good fighters on his level if he is to claim he is the best. That's how it works. That's how it has always worked. That's why we fans get so interested.

Now if Ortiz looked horrible in defeat, lmao, well then, yeah Wilder will probably take some heat unfairly for that, but not from me, I have already "nearly" forgiven him and he hasn't even beat Ortiz yet.

I like this fight, Ortiz is not mid 40s that's BS.

Should be an interesting fight, Wilder is taller and far quicker but Ortiz actually has the reach advantage. Power is pretty even too. I fancy Wilder fitness will be the difference in thus fight. Wilder will get a late ko.

2017 just keep getting better and better, atm I personally favour Ortiz, hard hitter with good boxing skills, but could be one of those fights where whoever lands first wins so cant totally rule out Wilder, if Ortiz wins it'l feel like its a long time coming, he really should have had his big shot by now but ita unfortunate, if Wilder wins I think he finally gets some credibility.

I think Wilder might have to buy a vaseline factory for this match. Double the amount they had against Duhaupas.

Ah, not really, I've been saying Ortiz is older than stated for a long time. Also think the same about Rigo.

And I don't think I've been short of praise for Wilder here, regardless of Ortiz's true age.

It's not laziness it's the fact he prefers to sit back and counter rather than chase, he isn't comfortable chasing, he prefers guys to come to him like Jennings did. He also is a little one paced, some fighters can't move through the gears quickly and we saw that in his recent fights.

I assume Wilder realises this and this is why he took this risky fight. He'll use movement to control the pace of the fight and try to steal rounds with spurts of activity which Ortiz will struggle to react to. Easier said than done but it's what I expect Wilder to try.

It's a fight well worth having to stay up until 4:30 am to watch. Really looking forward to it.

I wouldn't pay £50 a ticket to watch Wilder fight... unless Joshua was his opponent... But those tickets wouldn't be £50 lol

    here's something I don't get.

why does Wilder take a more dangerous fight with less money vs Ortiz?

when he could've taken a less dangerous fight with WAY MORE money vs Whyte? ..had he fought & beat Whyte instead, that would make a more natural buildup & more money for a Joshua/Wilder showdown.
