Bellew-Haye 2 likely for Dec. 17 at the O2

Oh sheeeeeeit. Very interesting because Hearn said the other week that he wanted Twitter feedback on whether fans would be happy with Sunday night boxing.

If this is O2 I'm defo going to get tickets for this, O2 is a cracking venue for boxing.

 

The O2 is booked for every Sat. this year, that's why it's a Sunday.

Bellew was being outboxed. It was only when Haye could barely walk that the fight became competitive. Which proves Bellew was not on Haye's level, and Haye should find a legit opponent.

 

I'll pass.

 

Glassfoot Haye is there for another solid payday. I don't blame the guy. Let him retire on his feet. He gave us plenty over the years.

 

He said it so not to pee Bellew off, and keep him onside to sign for the rematch. It is clearly not true though.

Haye was injured days before the fight and could barely do the ringwalk, and dragged his leg until it eventually went.

This is an easy win for Haye, if he is fit.

 

Haye is well past it but he still has more than enough to beat Bellew. Even in the last fight where he came in injured anyway he won 4 of the first 5 rounds imo. Then the injury got far worse and it all went wrong for him.

Haye won't make the mistake of coming into the fight injured and looking for a lucky punch this time. Bellew looked better than I expected him to last time but he doesn't have the power to keep an uninjured Haye away from him for long. Haye by stoppage mid-rounds.

Either way this is a nice payday for both. I'm sure Bellew is grateful for Haye's injury getting him another payday.

 

As long Haye is fit I would put my house on him beating Bellew, if anything his loss last time makes me more confident that Haye will beat him this time. I think Haye has always had this thing where he has been a bit too overcautious about getting hit, but he knows now that Bellew doesn't hit that hard and struggled to get him out of there with one leg, so Haye should know he can take more risks now.

Obviously I wouldn't actually put my house on it, because Haye could get injured again, then I'd lose my house, but amother injury is the only way Bellew wins this fight IMO.

I like both guys though, so I'd be happy for Bellew if he beat Haye legit, I just don't see it happening.

 

as long as haye isn't hurt he beats bellow by Ud or late ko.

 

A fully fit Haye would knock Bellew out.

 

Its was tit for tat. Bellew's strategy was to take Haye into the later rounds and Haye wan't good enough to prevent the Bomber implementing that game plan.
He went out with a goal and he achieved that goal which proves Haye was not on his level. You shouldn't argue that the guy who got blown out of the ring was the better man , it makes you look stupid.

 

Eddie Hearn already ruled that out some time ago, he says Bellew isn't going to fight any of the bigger heavyweights including Wilder.

So Haye is the biggest fight out there for him.

But I'm quite looking forward to it, call me a sucker for a bit of hype if you like, but they both sold the hell out of it last time, and it actually turned out to be one of the most fascinating fights I've ever seen (if not a bit dangerous), and it was a great atmosphere inside the O2 which always helps. I doubt anyone went home feeling like they didn't get their moneys worth.

 

Me too. But I don't think Bellew was keen to have his n*ts cracked.

 

I hope the rematch goes ahead. Both are great talkers and the build up last time was brilliant. I know it's not exactly elite level boxing but they both certainly bring personality. The presser in Liverpool last time was hilarious. Don't care if it's not one for the purists - really hope it happens.
