What websites? Canelo's fan page. All the major ones are consistent with us. It is a small minority that felt Canelo won. You know, Vegas actually gave bettors refunds. To pretend the boxing world is split on this fight is dishonest.
Canelo has stamina problems, the correct benchmark is the younger Golovkin. Many experts noted he's lost a step. GGG did not fall off a cliff, but he's not quite as good as he used to be. From my point of view the bigger factor than age is that GGG neglects his boxing too much these days. I think he fell in love with his power and just walks down and head-hunts. When he was younger he boxed better IMHO. Still, even though the age excuse tends to be exaggerated by fanboys, there is some truth there too. 35 is definitely on the wrong side of most fighters' peak.
That's a fair point - people were just desperate to see Floyd lose. I've always said that late 30s/40 yr old Floyd was definitely not as good as before. Even the widely-praised Pacquaio performance wasn't as good as most of Floyd's earlier fights IMHO.
You forgot the "D" in your name. Fact is Ward lost the first fight, and they had to have him straight up cheat to win the second. (He was bending lots of rules in the first).
I'd say 2 or 3. He's behind Ward and maybe Crawford. It's a toss up between TC and GGG holding down the #2 spot.
Your hero was on PEDs that's why he used 750 ml of IV fluids to mask it. Golovkin showed good stamina, but nothing otherworldly. Alvarez displayed poor stamina, but his stamina was always like that, he gassed before in the Trout fight. He just doesn't have naturally good endurance.
Exactly. Canelo fights in spots to pace himself..... He can't fight like Golovkin can for 12 rounds, never could. Anyone who thinks he "let" Golovkin back him up/put him on the ropes and did so as part of his strategy is delusional. This is why those of us who picked Golovkin said he would trouble Canelo- due to his tendency to lay on the ropes and take breathers. Now the detractors have reverted to the "He let him do it!" crap.
