My opinion hasn't changed of either fighter, they both brought what I thought they would.

My opinion of Canelo went up more than my opinion of GGG did.
    Here's why:
I expected GGG to walk Canelo down
Canelo's defense and sturdiness exceeded my pre-fight expectations.

They both did well. Canelo proved he can compete with the best middleweights with that performance and GGG proved he has versatility that can cause problems for a elite level boxer. It was a great boxing match at a very high level instead of the street fight most expected to happen

I was surprised Canelo would run so shamelessly like he did. I thought he would try to fight harder.

    Fair enough.

As I frequently point out, there is not necessarily 1 correct answer because it depends on your expectations.

Yeah. You've never given Golovkin a fair shake, why would that change?

P.S. If you are one of the people who said GGG would smash Canelo easily, or that Canelo would school Golovkin easily, and yet you vote "down" for the fighter you thought would lose, please explain why.

I see it a lot but I'm curious as to how that is intellectually possible.

I said it was a mismatch before the fight started. I figured Canelo couldn't take the punishment GGG would be delivering. I think GGG is more than capable of knocking out Canelo after the bout if he wanted to. You don't risk going for a KO against a counter puncher like Canelo. GGG did the smart thing keeping it simple.

Canelo went up in my estimation because of his defensive work. It was very good, against an elite boxer. GGG stayed the same for me, p4p number 1.

Not to me he didn't. Worldclass are top fighters IMO top 10 or 15 not just titleholders. GGG never beat or fought another guy that was worldclass until he fought Canelo he held his own thus proving that he's worldclass.

    This is my choice too
GGG did not improve or decline but Canelo did move up for me. Canelo showed a better chin and footwork, not running but REAL footwork, to me and this is just my thoughts so HATERS BACK OFF:nonono

I fully expected Canelo to go down and have on his cement shoes

Opinion of GGG went down for sure.

I mean, I was rooting for Canelo, but pre-fight I was a little bit fearful that Canelo might get caught by some bombs and get hurt, enough people tell you it might happen then you almost start to believe it.

But it never happened, not on your life, there was never one point I was fearful for Canelo, never, even when he was on the ropes GGG was standing off him and never got anywhere near remotely hurting him, and it was actually GGG who left the building with his head swollen up to the size of a small planet.

So opinion of GGG went down slightly (only because I almost bought into the hype, almost), and Canelo stayed the same, but there wasn't an option for that so I just said went up.
