    1) GGG - has the best resume of all active middleweights so far and is still undefeated
    2) Jacobs - only middleweight to go 12 with GGG, plus you could argue he won vs GGG and his best win (Quillin) trumps other middleweights aside from GGG. I also think Jacobs could possibly beat Canelo.
    3) Canelo - Technically, you could argue Canelo can be no.2 based on his talent but hasn't really fought at middleweight, only 3 times above 154, vs Cotto, Chavez and GGG. that's why he's not my.2 whereas Jacobs spent his whole career there. if Canelo fights Jacobs next, beats him, he definitely no.2 or if he beats GGG fairly (no fishy judges) he's no.1
    4) Saunders - after picking a UD win over Monroe, Saunders now has 3 quality wins at middleweight, over Eubank, Lee & Monroe. In my opinion, he has the purest boxing ability of all middleweights so far.
    5) Lemieux - initially I was gonna put Lemieux at no.4 but after Saunder's win over Monroe, I put Saunders above Lemieux because Saunders has 3 good wins (Lee, Eubank, Monroe) vs Lemieux's 2 good wins (N'Dam & Stevens)

its interchangeable, i think but I only put Canelo at no.3 is cuz Canelo haven't fought really any middleweights yet, aside GGG & Chavez (if you wanna count that)

I used to think Jacobs and BJS beat Canelo. After watching Saunders and Canelo in their last fights I think Canelo beats Saunders. While I thought Saunders looked good in parts of that fight and he UD'd Monroe without that much trouble I just don't think he can outbox Canelo. I still think Jacobs beats Canelo though.

in your opinion, who has better defensive ability? Canelo or Saunders? I watched the Saunders/Monroe fight and watched the Canelo/GGG fight; and I thought Saunders has better defense. Sure, Canelo might have some upper body movement for defense but I think Saunders has a similar ability but with better/quicker feet. Plus I think Saunders has better distance control.
I also think Saunders has the purest boxing ability of all middleweights atm.

I thought Saunders looked quicker as well. But Canelo is better able to dictate the pace of a fight whereas Saunders seems to let the fight dictate his pace more. Canelo is better at setting up traps.

true. I see it as Canelo uses more of his physicality to his game wheres Saunders doesn't. Canelo's durability, chin & power (all physical attribues) allows him to do so and Saunders relies on skills.

No way could Saunders handle the pressure Canelo was under vs GGG, his defense and counter punching were amazing.

    1. GGG
    2. Jacobs
    3. Saunders
    4. Canelo
    5. Lemieux

Btw. It seems Golovkin is the only man on the division with several top 10 (current) wins at MW (Lemieux, Jacobs, Murray and Canelo). Actually, others have 0 wins against current top 10 MW - those guys need to fight each other asap!

    Jacobs vs. Charlo
    Lemieux vs. Canelo
    Murray vs derevyanchenko

If you had Canelo and Jacobs beating GGG, how is GGG tied for number 1?
