Whatever you think about the result between GGG v Canelo, it is clear many people are unsatisfied with the result. This is going to go on and on and on till the end of time.

So is it time for change? And if so, how?

    Go.

    Keep going until ko??

Scoring is too subject, need definitive scoring and atm a stoppage is the only way...

Maybe public scoring after each round so people know what is happening round by round??? i.e. Judges score made public after each round..

Why 4? It will lead to more draws with an even number of judges.

5 would be a better number.

Live scoring so there can be no doubt. It will be hard for corruption to take root when it is all out in the open. The sanctioning body also needs to be in charge of picking judges, not the effing promoters. WTF is wrong with boxing?

It was started by gangs, then controlled by the mafia and it's now in the hands of shrewd businessmen. It just gets worse.

It would be naive to think that corruption doesn't exist in boxing. The lack of a universal governing body definitely doesn't help, this places more power with promoters and athletic commissions who generally act in their own best interests.

Judges also need to be more willing to give 10/8 10/7 rounds even if no knockout occurred. just pinching a round shouldn't be scored in the same way as someone who dominates a round but doesn't get the knockdown. Some knockdown are caused by hard punches and sometimes they are flash knockdown caused by bad balance. Judges need to be more flexible in their scoring to reflect these things.

I think the fights ought to be scored by other fighters, instead of numb nuts judges. Most of these guys know more and they could use the money.

Well, somewhat. You need a shrewd guy to get your money up front but, you don't need him buying the win for you.

Many Years ago the Referee was the Judge...don't remember as many Controversial decisions like we have now....but even they would end up on the Take in this Era...

It's still happening in the UK.
Believe me, you don't want that at all. Just take a look at Fury vs McDermott 1.

But scoring in boxing is ridiculous indeed. The 10 point must system in which dominating a round scores the same as a round you can hardly determine a winner is as dumb as soup.
Issue is, the current method favors home/featured/popular/connected fighters, so it won't change anytime soon.
