Has Campbell improved since the Mendy fight, i'm not so sure. Linares boxing technique is so fluent, he has been in this position many times. It's new for Campbell, he wanted to step up and i applaud him for that. It would be great for British boxing if he won but i see a mid fight stoppage for Linares, to slick, to good.
I generally think Campbell will do it. Rate Linares highly but he has been in some tough fights and I think he will finally struggle with someone like Luke who is athletic and has a slight height advantage.
I think this could be a cracker this fight I'm really looking forward to it. I think Linares will probably prove to be a bit too much for Luke but it's going to be a really close fight. Luke finished strong against Perez and began to look really good and we all know how good of a boxer Linares is and what he brings. I think Linares on points but wouldn't be shocked if Luke pulled it off.
The only real problem of this fight for me is the anticipated 3 a.m start. Obviously the Parker fight will keep me up and awake to the midnight mark, but after that it is hit and miss whether I stay awake long enough. (Which would be a shame, as I am looking forward to the Campbell fight more than Parker v HF).
Luke has done nothing as a pro to suggest he has any chance v Linares. I think he's getting stopped, and outclassed until the stoppage.
I think these 2 might cancel each other out. Linares isn't as good as Matchroom spiel paints him and Campbell isn't the lost cause some have labelled him post Mendy. They're both slightly fragile but very technically astute boxers who falter under pressure. Neither one of them's going to make a war of it. Barring one of them clipping the other it'll likely be a tight fight that could go either way. I'd favour Campbell purely because the gulf in experience isn't as wide as the miles on their clocks.
Same for me. Well put. I wouldn't be surprised if Campbell won this, he's the underdog rightly but I think this is a lot closer than a lot of people believe.
Linares within six for me. Idiotic that this is taking place in America given Linares is based on the UK, hold it in Hull outdoors and smell the money.
