How is Mikey more skilled? Break it down.

 

Mikey has moved up several times. As far as skill level, yuo can't be serious

 

The reason why there is no media bias against Mikey is because the media for the most part ignores him. He is top 10 on the ring p4p list but you don't hear his fans saying that he is the best light weight ever and would beat SRR easily. The media in general likes to build you up. But they also like to tear you down. The fans too.

 

The hell is wrong with all the people that post here to tear fighters down and start fan wars? Bizarre.

Show me an article or video of someone saying Mikey has only fight cans or that he's one dimensional or only fights guys that make him look good.

Mikey doesn't get as much criticism as GGG because he doesn't get as much anything as GGG. GGG is probably one of the two or three most talked about active fighters in boxing. Mikey is....not.

Anytime someone gets a lot of press, there are going to be fanboys and haters. GGG gets more positive attention than Mikey, but he also gets more negative attention. I'm sure if Mikey did something notable - beat a P4P fighter, started a dominant championship run, unified a division, fought lots of times in one year, etc. - you would see exactly what you're hoping for.

 

You're calling Mikey's resume weak and tearing him down to whine on behalf of your precious Gennady.

Nobody said that about Mikey because he got his first name championship opponent in his 20's and his fans weren't hyping him up unbearably. There's your answer.

 

Mikey didn't KO 22 opponents in a row going back close to a decade, did he? Of course there will be less talk and conjecture.

And I mentioned Mikey's weak ass resume because that's the number 1 thing people knock GGG for. It's simple... Mikey is immune to criticism while possessing a weak resume and a weaker skill set.

 

Because he's American... And GGG isn't.

 

Golovkin's resume was weaker until he fought Jacobs. Not sure what the point of trying to explain that to a biased troll is anyway

You rate Martinez/Salido/Lopez/Zlaticanin over and Brook, Stevens, and Lemieux? And did you factor in that GGG was blatantly ducked by Sergio Martinez, Cotto, Saunders, and Eubank? Who ducked Mikey?

 

Martinez, Salido, Lopez are definitely better than Brook, Stevens, and Lemieux. Lopez was champ for years. Salido ha beaten Lopez and went on to beat Loma. Brook was a welterweight coming up 2 weight classes for a cash grab, Stevens was a lower level contender, and Lemieux was solid but he certainly doesn't have better wins than Salido and Lopez. Being ducked doesn't add names to your resume.
