Scott has zero ambition. That's not the case with Ortiz. He's always been hungry just lacked the opportunities for a long time, now he's finally getting it and this is THE time to capitalize if there ever is one. Truth be told... I think Wilders handlers realized they had to take a risk with him due to lack of public interest, outcry from fans, and Wilder may want to try and shut the naysayers up himself.

Yep same here I may have given him stick for having it easy but to had beating the Russian PED guy(just forgot his name lol)and I've always said he beats Ortiz who I've never looked at as the monster folk make him out to be.

When AJ fought the best Wlad we seen in years some actually said yeah but he's old he should fight Ortiz who is most probably older than Wlad and certainly hasn't done what Wlad has or in my estimation ever looked that great anyway.

Ortiz is older than Wladimir Klitscho (who many Wilder fans have been calling old and faded upon being beaten by Joshua). Just pointing that out.

My pick is Wilder.. I think he KO's Ortiz.

There's a thought that Wilder fights down to the opponents which may be true but I've always thought any top class heavyweight should be able to find the target when Wilder over reaches,I mean he's right there and to date nobody been able to take advantage have they?

As much as I believe Wilder has seen his reign carefully orchestrated to sidestep his very obvious flaws and stagnated development, I think in order to a) bypass his long range bombs and b) take it to him to have a chance to beat him, you need to be 1. big, 2. aggressive, 3. durable, and 4. quick. Ortiz might be 1, 2, and 3, but he sure as hell isn't 4. Bronze picks off Kong before his elderly legs can take him even halfway inside. Ortiz may as well be using a walker in the ring for all the good his superior technique is going to do him. :ohno:ohno

If Ortiz was younger, about 33-35, I would be sure that Ortiz would win by KO.

Was he ever fast, though? On his feet, I mean? Like, even in the amateurs?

As much as I'd like to see King Kong be Wilder's conqueror, far more than AJ, he won't be, Wilder is too fast, hits too hard, too athletic, too rangy and will be at the top of his game, he fights to the level of his opponents, and he'll bring his Stiverne game, and stop Ortiz late.

Wilder's going to make far to many mistakes in this for Ortiz not to capitalise on. Ortiz is a devastating counter-puncher, even better than Stiverne imo. Stiverne does his on the ropes, Ortiz right bang in the centre. He dosen't need to chase down Wilder because he'll be controlling this fight from the opening bell.

I think DWs footwork is too terrible to run away all night. I like DW but im really getting sick of his antics and fighting tomato cans. This fight he has a chance to bring me back on board as a fan. If he gets kod im done with him for good. Ortiz ko 6

No, he wasn't very fast, but he better as a boxer than Wilder
