    and I'm excited!

thanks to Ward's retirement, we're gonna have some new champions soon and title fights for those vacant belts. the light heavyweight division has just opened up!

    thank you Andre Ward!

for the IBF, Kovalev & Beterbiev are the top 2, so those two can fight for that title.

then u got Barrera & the Nail who can fight for a belt also etc.

Andre Ward's retirement is the light heavyweight division's gain.

1 down, 1 to go. Stevenson needs to officially retire as well. Just staying at home on his rocking chair with the belt aint fair to the sport.

it shattered all the belts again, like with the Fury situation.

Won't be surprised if we got Charles Martin level beltholders at LHW in the near future.

I'd like to see Kovalev - Beterbiev next year, that's a logical fight to make if both win their next fights *which they will).

Barrera-Gvozdyk is actually rumoured for the Loma-Rigo card, who knows?

Too stacked division IMHO, Beterbiev, Gvozdyk, Bivol, etc. are all elite contenders and far above Charles Martin level IMHO.

Chances are the Beterbiev-Koelling fight will now be for the vacant IBF title.

Kovalev is #7 with the IBF. It's the WBO that has Kovalev/Beterbiev at 1 and 2. Great fight, hope it's made.

I would be, LHW has a far better talent pool than HW. Bivol/Jack for the WBA Super is a good fight. Could see Gvodzyk get a shot for the IBF too.

EDIT: Forgot about Beterbiev/Koelling. IBF will most likely sanction that for the title. Chances are it will be Kovalev/Gvodzyk for the WBO.

Once Anthony Yarde gets his shot it's over. Theres no lhw or cw that could beat him.

There also was a whole army of better HW's at the time. LHW certainly stronger, but don't be surprised if we see a Travis Reeves level guy getting a shot before one of the monsters does.

Ward has retired, Kovalev has two losses and Stevenson still sits on the WBC title like an egg REFUSES to step up in class. God. **** that guy. Just think about this situation for a second. The Pimp is a complete disgrace.

Yes, fair point. However, the rankings in the LHW division seem better - to get a title a lesser fighter would need to beat a Beterbiev, Gvozdyk, Bivol, Jack, Alvarez etc.

    So, looking at the picture:

WBA: Jack vs Bivol will probably be for the full title.
IBF: Could Beterbiev vs Koelling for the full title
WBO: Kovalev and Beterbiev are #1 and #2, Gvozdyk #3
