Happy that Furies didn't get the belt but Huey impressed me much more than Parker who is going to get starched in the future.
Thought both fighters were pretty poor, Fury probably didn't deserve to win the title on that performance but it was nowhere near a 118-110. Think judges need to realise that scorecard is really for an absolute schooling, that's not what I just witnessed
Maybe the judges just punished Fury for that negative style. And if they did, 118-110 would be fair to be honest, it was ridiculously negative at times.
Regardless of the score cards the right man won. It's not a robbery if the right man wins but on contentious score cards
A one-sided score should be fine.. For Fury, but if you thought Fury was too defensive and 'negative' almost all the rounds were the same, so you might as well leaned to Parker every close round. If you score it Parker, might as well be consistently wrong.
Parker needs a new trainer.... Sanchez can bring out the Polynesian warrior in him, but barring that... He destined to be upset by a Miller, Pulev or Kownacki and would lose to Joshua as well as Wilder based on his last few outings. Kid really impressed me on the way up...... Hopefully he finally realizes what needs to be done and ditches Barry for greener pastures.
You cant reward excessive clinching. I mean we might as well clinch 60 times a round. Hughie ran but he ran well. Its the clinching that annoys me as it takes away inside boxing for the shorter guy.
Also Barry Jones is the worst commentator from his voice to his analysis, Jim Watt like in repeating the same stuff from the first bell to the last
I definitely think Hughie should have thrown more rights. Whenever Parker missed with the two punch combo that was Fury's queue to just hammer the body. He was definitely too negative for a challenger here today. I had him edging the fight. I don't know why judges don't score more 10-10 rounds because there were a lot there. I had at least three rounds 10-10.
