I had Fury by a few rounds which depending on what you prefer is pretty reasonable. If your agreeing with 118-110 x2 then you are the one who doesnt know boxing.
Hard to tell exactly as was listening on the radio, but that sounded close , not a 10 rounds to 2 fight. One of those where judges didn't score on the art of boxing, rather aggressive intent over hit and run tactics.
Fair play, however I can't see it. As the challenger he didn't do enough I felt. He stacked all the odds against Parker and I feel he and the rest of his party thought this was a walk in the park and just a formality
In fairness I assumed that, MH didn't name them but I can't think other any other "company" outside Parker that have an interest in Parker winning apart from Matchroom.
Honestly thi was not that bad a performance, a lot better than vs Cojanu or even Ruiz Jr in my opinion.
It was negative but let's be honest some of those punches were a thing of beauty. If you are a boxing fan you would have appreciated the footwork and especially those wonderful crisp uppercuts.
Yeah Hughie could have unloaded at least a 2 punch combo everytime Joe missed because Joe just went into a shell when he missed and Hughie poppin up on the other side. Totally agree
Again: this was not like Canelo-Golovkin where each guy won 5 rounds with two more close ones, with either winning close, or a draw fair enough. This was a fight where you either liked one guy or the other, most of the way. Parker was ineffectively aggressive, and I gave so many rounds when neither landed much to Fury as the boxer keeping it a boxing match. It only took a couple jabs for Fury to fairly take rounds.
Horrible fight and Hughie is to blame for that. Hughie was more content to give us as demonstration of how well he can move around every inch of the ring whilst throwing the occasional punch, whereas at least Parker was trying to make it a fight. And just as I feared would happen whenever Parker did manage to get himself into range Hughie grabbed a hold of him like an octopus and tied him up and waited for the ref to break them up. Didn't the ref actually warn Hughie about holding in round 1 and then he proceeded to allow him to get away with it all night? Hmmm.. Parker didn't land with too much either or impress but it's very difficult to do so against such an elusive and negative opponent who is doing everything in their power to make sure a fight never breaks out. I would've been OK with a draw.
