All in all it was a stupid fight and I regret watching it because now there is less than 4 hours of sleep until Kudryashov - Dorticos. Same happened last week with BJS - Monroe Jr. but it was even worse.
What would've happened if the referee hadn't allowed Hughie to grab a hold of Parker whenever he did manage to track him down and get into punching range?
I had it 9-3 Fury. It was a robbery. Because I thought Fury clearly controlled even the rounds without a lot of punches I'm not accepting that it could go either way. When Parker came forward and barely threw, only lunging a few swings when they got close and Fury moved and stayed away but landed a couple jabs, that's a fair Fury round. Parker didn't control rounds with his aggression, while Fury controlled rounds with his movement. And that's how it went almost the whole way. Parker's a good guy, good punching technique, but brings nothing more.
Maybe Tyson will now be encouraged to shed 100lbs to get revenge on Parker (assuming he gets his license back). Or alternatively he and Hughie could go on a month eating/drinking/coking binge to make them feel better. Probably the latter.
Then Wladimir Klitschko would of quit the sport a long time ago if the sport was alot more stricter on holding
No mention of Parker leading in with his head which did the initial cut, and a few more times he tried to open the wound with his forehead?
also when Parker got close and was laying in good body punches the ref separated them for no reason. Oh well the right guy won.
Lots of fighters would, either that or they would actually have to use legal methods to keep themselves out of danger.
Yeah I totally agree. Had some hit Fury on the chin, it wouldve been goodnight but thats credit to Furys defence. One just skimmed his nose. Fury was too pitter patter with his punches. We could see it. Even his fan commentator was suggesting Hughie put more power in his right. Thing is - Hughie was. Im sure he was. Parker has never been wobbled let alone KO, he has probably the best chin of the division but thats still to be proven.
not a great fight but on the bright side I think in Hughie we've found a natural successor to Usain Bolt.
"I thought it was an absolute masterclass, shades of Ali. Parker wasn't even in the fight. One of the worst decisions I have ever seen." <---- hughies promoter Mickey said this LMAO. what a idiot.
I'm a muscle spasm? Nice comeback. Punches landed has never been and never will be what determines the winner of a round. You clearly have no idea about boxing in any way significant.
I didn't even notice it to be fair. I saw the ref warn him about it but I didn't see him intentionally butt him at any time.
