I didn't note any individual victories over anyone because I was looking at the black-and-white world of what titles had been won, how many defences were made and whether the figher in question ended their time in the division undefeated. That why I began my post saying I was going to look at the achievements in the division dispassionately. I stand by my assessment on that basis.

Ward won more titles than Eubank and left the division without a single defeat to his name, therefore he accomplished more than Eubank did. The only area in which Eubank accomplished more than him was in the number of successful defences of his title.

You are basing that on opportunity. If Kessler didnt relinquish his WBC title, Froch/Ward would only have been for Wards WBA title so I cant see why you are putting so much on a title rather than the fight?

Let me hammer home the point here; I was not comparing resumes or circumstances, I was not taking individual victories into account, I was only comparing the titles they won, the amount of defences they made and whether they ended their time in the division undefeated. That's all.

You can argue the case all you want about how you might believe Eubank fought the better quality opponents than Ward but that will not change what titles they held or how many times they defended them or whether they lost a fight.

Chickenson has been calling him out for years, even to his face yet he's chose to retire.

Chickenson, Beterbiev, Bivol, Gvozdyk all got him shook, but it's easy to see they're much better than Froch, old Kessler, Bika and Green, a weak 168 he ruled.
