i don't know how well would louis take punches from foreman and ruddock, and if mercer unload on him like he did on morrison, louis would have left the ring on a stretcher.

Louis would absolutely have taken the punches of a 40+ Foreman, or a fading Ruddock.

He probably took much worse to be honest.

But this was the Pre-Listonian period, where jabs didn't have snaps yet.
Louis never felt the power of a 60 FPS Color HD punch.

The question is not whether or not he'd take it.
But whether his black and white paper machete floaty 30's body turns into a puddle of blood, crumbled bones, or some other ghastly outcome.

Those two punched harder than fighters Louis faced in his career in my book

    Ok, I appreciate your effort.

Morrison is a good h2h fighter, obviously not top 10 but a dangerous fighter style wise for certain atg fighters...
Better than Wlad Klitschko h2h imo

    Why?

What did they do to make you think that?

Why? What makes Morrison such a great fighter? His left hook was largely ineffective against top rated fighters. He literally lost to every good fighter he fought.

Except louis is NOT the fast paced puncher you created....he was very slow starter and calcualted other opponents movements...he would WAIT sit back and try and time his punches ...this would be a perfect set up for a FAST paced Morrison looking to bang you out inside 4 rnds. And lets not pretend he wasnt that guy and that Louis had that chin.

Taking actual real abilities and who they fought ,louis would never be the favorite here unless you went FAR out of your way( in which you did) to make him. Morrison would land sooner than later and we then know what happens BASED on louis chin ( unless you then) make up a iron chin ...but based on what fight?

If we are BOTH using ONE fight basing...well you will lose this bc Tommy would never be rocked or knocked down to anyone Louis fought unless he was at his worst . Its a paper argument to suggest otherwise and a straw man bc you can point out that with any fighter...the differance is Louis troubled by other fighters of THAT era would not even be Morrison sparring partners, he would HURT them badly.

Louis has something like 11 knockouts in the first round. Max Schmeling and Tami Mauriello among them. 26 knockouts in the first 3 rounds. 32 knockouts in the first 4 rounds (your standard). The slow starter myth has been debunked.

Louis would land sooner than Morrison. We all know what happens based on Morrison's chin (knocked down 13 times by the age of 26).

Schmeling, Baer, and Marciano would all knock Morrison out with the first right hand they land. That's just for starters.

    difference*

The bulk of your post is just wide exaggerated claims like "nobody from Louis' era would be a sparring partner for Morrison". Hardly any evidence which is the only thing that matters here.

Here we go the Morrison coulda shoulda fan well I got news for you he didn't and while he spent his best years spreading AIDs Louis spent his defending his title 25 times staying at the championship level for nearly 12 yes Baer caught Joe in a corner with hard shots and Louis cornered fought back and beat the hell out of him.....Morrison would be no different

What? Morrison didn't have a good left hook, he had a great one. And he had very good hand speed, and was a fast starter plus would be bigger than Louis.

Sure he has a chance. Louis does not have Ray Mercer's chin.

I'd pick Louis, but Morrison has a real puncher's as Louis had suspect defense, slow feet and not great chin in my estimation.

I dare say Morrison would have beaten some Joe Louis opponents easier than Louis himself did. Morrison fought in a talent rich era. Okay so he lost to Lennox Lewis, Ray Mercer and had a bad night vs Bentt.

He also beat Foreman easy, looked better vs Ruddock than Tyson did in one outing, and Hipp. Wins over former names such as P. Thomas C. Williams and Tills. He won some, and lost some. Might be champion if he was around today. I'd take him over Wilder and Fury and give him a shot vs Joshua.

Lets compare his early round stoppages to those of Mike Tyson then:

Key opponents stopped in the first round.

Louis - Levinsky, Retzlaff, Schmeling, Lewis, Baer, Maurellio

Tyson - Spinks, Williams, Tillman, Steward, Seldon, Savarese

I like Louis's list better personally.

Bentt was an amateur champion, Morrison was caught, just like say Jack Dempsey was vs. Fireman Flynn.

Or Max Schmeling, who badly whipped Joe Louis at a time when most thought he was past his best, also has a KO 1 loss on his resume vs Daniels. Looking at the records, Bennt is better than Daniels

    See how this game works?

But okay, Foreman, Ruddock, Hipp, Williams, and others to me are better than Braddock, Farr, Galento and others who floored / won rounds vs Joe Louis.

It's simple, Louis was not known for defense or a top chin, and when matched vs. a puncher on Morrison's level with top hand speed, and upset can happen.

That isn't fantasy. I said I like Louis, I just think you are underestimating the match-up and how Morrison can win.
