Imo, this is the fight that has to be made next for several reasons.
    1. Whyte wants a title shot, Parker has that title.
    2. by Parker fighting Whyte in the UK, it gives him a lot of exposure.
    3. If Parker fought & beat Whyte, it naturally sets up a huge Joshua/Parker fight
    4. Parker/Whyte would be a big money fight for both guys.
    5. This fight would be competitive and a big test for both fighters.
    6. If Whyte wins, it sets up a huge rematch & unification fight vs Joshua.
    7. Both Parker & Whyte have no fights scheduled, it should be the one to be made next imo.

so that said, who takes it if this fight got made?

    Parker by decision.

Whyte has some solid whiskers, and the Whyte that came into the AJ fight was a different person to the bloke who fought Chisora. He has worked hard on conditioning, but still lacks the defensive abilities.

Stylistically he is great for Parker. Same height, much slower, open defensively often. His jab is ok, but Parker is very skilled when it comes to fending off jabs (as shown by his last fight). The only weapon possibly would be WHyte's left hook. Otherwise, it's a sort of fight that Parker will comfortably get in front points-wise early, and be able to escape when Whyte gets desperate.

I don't know if I'd be overly confident about Parker building a big lead on points because when has he ever done that against a decent opponent? He tends to start slowly and just do enough down the stretch, as he did against Takam, Ruiz and Fury.

With Takam and Ruiz they applied educated but cautious pressure which led to cagey fights where Joe was guilty of being a bit passive. It would be exciting to see how he reacts when a decent fighter comes at him hard. He's not much of a counter puncher and might tend to shell up and only punch when it's "his turn", or maybe getting into a firefight will be the making of him and allow him to show what he can do.

^ Pretty much what NakiFan said. I actually think there is more of a chance than people expect of Whyte being stopped, he is defensively poor compared to Ruiz, Fury and Takam and is into standing and trading which potentially suit Parker very well. Whyte has been dropped and hurt in fights (AJ isn't the only one who has wobbled him), Parker has not. It could be a VERY fun fight, with someone with power and aggression like Whyte there is never a guaranteed outcome but Whyte would suit Parker much much more than Fury.

Parker by decision, maybe late TKO. Whyte has a solid chin and bags of heart but they are attributes he shares with Parker. The difference in this fight will come from Parker's superior skill level, if Chisora can land telegraphed left hooks on Whyte for twelve rounds then Parker will have no trouble finding the target either. Whyte's defence just isn't up to scratch at world level.

Joe has basically every advantage in this fight, what does Dillian bring apart from a big mouth and a left hook???
Whytes left hook has looked a bit soft since his surgery too.

Parker will get on his bike and box Whytes ears off, Whyte doesn't have the stamina to beat Joe.
Joe showed vs Hughie he can run a marathon, Whyte looks gassed waddling to the ring.

I'm gonna go against the consensus and pick Whyte, one thing for sure he turns up to fight and his shoulder looks fully healed at last, just reckon he could hurt Parker to the body.

Started off thinking Parker was great but he seems to have gone backwards so his last few fights inc the replacement who he knew from sparring and should of totally stopped him I just don't rate him like a once did and he's shown us that he can struggle with guys that AJ r Wilder or Pulev n Ortiz would just blast em out of there.

Still not seen it actually,I heard Parker looked limited though as well,I do feel that though that Parker V Whyte would be very good stylistically with one or the other getting knocked out.

This. As stiff and average as Parker is he won't lose to Whyte, who is tailor made for home.

Whyte's 'straight' right might well be the messiest shot in UK boxing

Chisora seriously hurt Whyte in their fight, I believe he hurt Whyte a couple of times, now compare Chisora's power to Parkers.

Whyte isn't a huge puncher, he is relatively easy to hit, he isn't that fast, I'm starting to actually wonder what all the fuss is/was about, maybe just the fact he hit AJ with a decent left hook and went a few rounds.

I only see one outcome.. A Parker KO/TKO win

Parker is trash. He got outboxed by Hughie Fury

Whyte doesn't interest me at all. Let Parker fight Povetkin and we see how he does in that fight.

Not sure I want to see this fight but I would have Parker taking it by decision. He does everything that bit better than Whyte.

What does seem clear is that Parker isn't elite, and I don't think he has the tools to become elite even though he is young. If he wants to hang on to his belt and milk it a bit, then he needs to do some Wilder-esque matchmaking over the next few years.
