This. For someone who is supposed to be so eager to face GGG, BJS is awfully quiet. He never mentions wanting to fight GGG. As I said before he is quite happy to hold the title hostage making his defences v also rans in the hope he will get big payday down the line. His not looking for it.

Spot on mate, Saunders will have seen the GG Vs Canelo fight, seen the quality and those two throwing bombs and taking bombs and he won't want any of that, he is quite happy to make meaningless defences while lining his pockets.

And fair enough, I'm not hammering Saunders for that, plenty have done it before, plenty do it now and plenty will do it in the future.

But I'm not having Moby's like @james5000 now claiming Golovkin is ducking Saunders, it's a ridiculous comment and has absolutely no foundation.

He was claiming a while back that Golovkin was ducking Eubank Jr and that was after The Eubanks didn't sign and even after Sr said it was his fault the fight didn't happen.

It gives me headaches reading some of these threads, sometimes the lack of knowledge and logic leaves me amazed.

OMG! Now or never? So Saunders is going to kill himself if Golovkin doesn't fight him next? Call a shrink, quick!

Golovkin would also make even more money if he had all the belts for the rematch.

Jacobs and Canelo would very likely school Saunders and send him back to mummy. The way he's been fighting lately ... he had a stinker vs Akvavov and huffed and puffed his way to a pedestrian win over Monroe, who GGG obliterated already.

Golovkin's not scared of a guy that can barely bust a grape with his punches.

Saunders' main attribute is his skill, and that's been a bit iffy of late.

 BJS wants Khan, wants him bad. He needs somebody that will make his pittypat punches look like Tyson bombs. :deal:

Nope. I think GGG should definitely relieve Saunders of his trinket.

But if he can fight Cotto first, and then Canelo again in succession, well ... those are two BIG BUCKS fights that he really could miss out on if he messed around. It's a no brainer. Saunders will still be around, hoping for his big payday while looking bad against GGG's leftovers.

As a boxing match I won't be too excited. But Golovkin's bank balance will dance a jig.

No I didn't, I used to think Canelo was too small and when he was @ 154/155 he was, but for some strange reason 99% of people were claiming he was bigger than GGG ffs. Heck there were plenty on here claiming Kell Brook was bigger than GGG ffs, these people are Moby which I assume is derogatory.

Don't tarnish me with the same brush as others, after Canelo fought Chavez Jr I no longer thought he was too small (still he is smaller than GGG who is a huge middleweight and looks like a holocaust victim at weigh ins) but still stylistically it was a mismatch, I thought Canelo's feet were too slow, he didn't throw enough punches and his power wouldn't halt GGG.

I have always said this was a money fight and a cheap way of getting p4p credit. I had a feeling GGG would duck Saunders the first time and made a thread about it, nobody agreed with me tbh. There was a thread here after the Jacobs fight where 95% of people wanted GGG to fight BJS after Jacobs, the nuthuggers and haters a like basically universally agreed that it should happen. When GGG ducked Billy there was no backlash, his fans were stoked he begged Canelo a ginger midget to fight him, I was appalled and made a thread asking why there was no backlash and I got answers like we only wanted him to fight Saunders because he could fight Canelo after, fighting Canelo first is just as good

Canelo did 100x better than I expected, still thought he lost mind you, heck I predicted JCC Jr to give him a hard time, I don't rate Canelo highly, never did after he didn't even try against Floyd.

Looks like he's keen to me, but I do think Frank is trying to make the fight and that is why Bill knows GGG is trying to make the Canelo rematch. Last time they claimed GGG was too tired to fight Bill.

GGG could have let the negotiations with Jr last long than a week(which is a pathetic amount of time) but he decided to fight a welterweight. Ffs the same welterweight he said was too small 5 mins before, and this was after he mocked CaneloKhan.

Seems pathetic to me, and many claimed Jr ducked him so I don't feel bad claiming the opposite.

If he fights Canelo in May and hasn't fought his mandatory he will be stripped of the IBF, unless Derevyanchenko accepts step aside money.

If Derevyanchenko accepted step aside money, he will probably want 1st crack after Canelo surely?

Derevyanchenko isn't a young man, he needs to make his mark ASAP.

Assuming he fights GGG after May, GGG will be in exactly the same situation he is now in 12 months.

Tbh I expect GGG to drop the IBF before Canelo, as I have stated I believe it's now or never for him to unify. Having the IBF will be meaningless at that point as he will never be undisputed, so might as well drop the sanctioning fees, I wouldn't want to pay them either.

GGG will then claim to have equalled bhops record and will finally head to 168 which his fans claim is a **** weak division. GGG is killing himself to make 160 so he might turn back the clock a bit moving up. Personally I would be happy for him to go up, I think it's an emerging division with plenty of talent. The WBSuperSeries winner will be his biggest money challenge after Canelo.

I will only bag him for not trying to unify when he says #allofthebelts, moving to 168 is actually what I always wanted him to do. I am sick of him fighting smaller fighters.

Cotto - Canelo - Derevyanchenko - Saunders is going to be the likely sequence then. Probably step aside money will be paid, and easily, since Cotto / Canelo will be big money spinners. I didn't know Dere was mando tbh. I'd rather see GGG /Dere than GGG / Saunders or Cotto.

168 is a wasteland. Ward would have been the only worthwhile fight and he's double gone now. :nonono

 No he's not. Still banging on with your loopy idea Golovkin is massive eh? :duh

How many times have you been schooled on this? :ohno

He doesn't OWE Jacobs anything. Now maybe if Jacobs gets off his azz and fights a real contender GGG would have to fight him. Sitting around doing nothing and fighting a washed up opponent doesn't give you a rematch

Luis Arias is a tough opponent, he's a young prospect.

Hardly washed up, Jacobs could lose......
