1. Crawford 2. Lomachenko 3. GGG 4. Canelo 5. Thurman 6. Mikey Garcia 7. Rigo 8. Linares 9. Joshua 10. Runvisai The skinny: Thurman has top quality wins over Garcia & Porter. Rungvisai sneaks on with 2 wins over Choco. Linares a 3 division champ with many solid w's & win streak. I have Crawford over Loma cause Loma has an L. Rigo is not higher cause hes been very inactive & hasnt fought anyone worthy of late. Spence & Kova can get in with a few quality Wins...
Dang with Ward retired I can't put Crawford number one yet.. I want to see Crawford at 147 vs a champion before I crown him #1. I don't want another Gonzalez situation.
I agree that it was tough me to put Crawford #1 But I would have a hard time putting GGG there or Loma over Crawford cause Loma has a loss No Clear cut #1
Then who would you put in place? You can take em out but gotta replace em AJ has solid wins over Dillan Whyte (undefeated), Wlad
Naoya Inoue and Spence with round out 9 and 10. I'd have GGG at #1, Terry at 2, Loma at 3, Mikey G 4, Rigondeaux at 5, Thurman at 6, I would have Nelo in there at 8, Inoue 9 and Spence rounding out the list at 10
Hmm For me Inoue & Spence need more quality wins If Inoue can beat a guy like Cuadras or Runvisai or Estrada, he deserves in Spence has a quality W over Brook thats it.
Multiple quality Ws (Indongo, Postol, Beltran, ) >>> 1 good win Although I agree, Crawfords resume is just ok. Not that impressive for a P4p #1. A few solid wins at 147 should solidify his case He fought who was around his division th9
I base Inoue's ranking on his overall ability, dominance, coupled with shooting out of the gate as a pro taking on incredibly strong opposition...plus winning a world title in such a short period of time. I agree he needs to secure fights with guys like Estrada, Cuadras and Runvisai but those fights will inevitably come. He can allow those fights to bake a bit more as a business move to maximize his profits for taking the next step up in his young career. Spence I feel has been brought along gradually and systematically. The typical path for young blue chip prospects building their brands and honing their professional styles. His career is about to hit its stride and pop this year. I'm sure he'll shoot up in the p4p rankings if he can continue lining up the big names after the Brook win. Based on what he's done thus far, I feel he's deserving of being in the 10 top.
