I've heard Luis Ortiz had a fight vs Benny Leonard at lightweight. He was around 30 back then, tall and skinny, and fought under another name
No joke! I saw the interview where he said, he beat Pernell via SD. The interviewer was shocked and started calculating his age loud but then Ortiz interrupted and said it was 42 or some like that, I don't remember the number very well! P.S. The whole interview was held beside some big building with some greenery in the front where Ortiz and interviewer were standing and it was pretty hot, Ortiz had a t-shirt on. The interviewer was American and an interview was held in Miami, most likely. I even read the comments on the video where most people commented that Ortiz old. So no one can tell me that, I didn't saw the interview, get out of here, I saw it with my own eyes!
If the fight against Wilder doesn’t go ahead, he may well turn 56 before he gets a shot at a title fight.
from this photo he looks 76 http://www.thesweetscience.com/feat...ng-kong-ortiz-the-best-cuban-heavyweight-ever
Probably fought Lance Whitaker, who would have fought internationally in the mid 1990s as he won national Golden Gloves and AAU titles.
