Promotion was awful. Commentary was awful. Fight was awful. Like others I'm glad I watched this for free and didn't contribute to Mick's KFC fund. Would be surprised if this got more than a couple of thousand buys.

Jeez would love to know how much money they lost on this show.

Clearly they were prepared to swallow the loss in the hope Fury won and then they could milk a huge cut of the potential fight vs AJ or Wilder.

Have to laugh at what a ridiculous business decision that was.

Why they held it in such a large arena I don't know. How could they think they could fill even half of the MEN.

Ask yourself this. If Hearn promoted Parker v Whyte for example how much would he get in the arena.

That would easily sell out the MEN.

I could find you a fair few pundits and respective boxing websites that had Hughie winning the fight, and likewise many on here had Parker winning it. My point is, you should watch the whole fight instead of listening/reading what everyone else is saying and make up your own mind, mate.

I personally had Hughie winning but won't complain about the result because I can see why the judges gave it to Parker. It's simple IMO, nothing like GGG-Canelo.

Was about 5000 there, good atmosphere but not a great promotion at all. Made me appreciate how good the matchroom shows are.

dear god what a total car crash. they wont have even recovered a fraction of parkers purse. i like hennessy and watching tyson when he was fighting and i also quite enjoyed this fight (it was free on tv here).

hughie is a good fighter and i think he has quite a good future in HW boxing, he was the challenger, he should have gone down there and quietly gone about his business and just focus on boxing. let duco worry about how to make those numbers work, he was getting a decent purse in any event. but instead they have been completely arrogant/deluded throughout this whole thing and have been stung, its sad to say but deservedly so.they messed around, tried all sorts to get it in the UK and surround him with 'their' people make him comfortable, but ultimately that has backfired and really doesnt help in the ring anyway.

they are claiming all sorts of conspiracies (some of which are more than plausable) and people are against them, but then go out of their way to make themselves easy targets. they havent been smart about this thing at all. hughie needs to get back in the ring with decent opponents and build a ranking, theyve basically tried a matchroom but dont have mur*ock blood money backing them.

unfortunately all this talk of everyone being against them might send hughie down the tyson road... ie, whats the point? hopefully it doesnt because i think hes more than good enough to win a belt, if he'd applied himself a bit more he would have had the beating of parker.

Yeah, a few days of calming down has given me a similar outlook.

I felt quite sorry for Hughie. He got interviewed by 5live after the fight and he was so deflated but was still respectful even referring to the interviewer has ‘sir’. He strikes me has a good kid, he’ll come again.

Mick H seems like a thoroughly decent and honest bloke who does his best for his fighters but the truth is IMO it isn't good enough.

No matter what way you dress it up if there was 5K in the arena and 1K PPV buys for a world heavyweight title then it is a poor effort.

Boxing is a short career and the bottom line is that Mick is very experienced yet can't do better than the figures above?

Where does Hughie Fury go from here? - Henessey can't seem to build momentum for his fighters.
