Kovalev's team is in the final process of signing a new trainer as being reported.
But it won't be revealed until next month when he resume training for his upcoming November fight.

I have a funny feeling it could be The Creepy One, the one and only Virgil Hunter, whose pupils one just recently been KOed and the other retired. Please be it wrong lol.

Who ESB think it will be?

What a mysterious and peculiar announcement from Team Kovalev.

I have no idea who it is, but I still hope it's Bloodworth.

Abel Sanchez. The one and only to make Kovalev relevant in boxing again.

That would be a great choice. Bloodworth is a veteran trainer, I haven't seen his name in the news lately, not even sure he is still training fighter till you brought it up.

Hmm Sanchez walked out once, I don't know if he will take him back.

Honestly, I'm not sure if he's still training, either. But I think he would be perfect with Kovalev. He has a history with Main Events fighters. And when he was training Golota and Vargas - they were both at their best and they both excelled using similar styles to Kovalev. And beyond that - the types of things Bloodworth had them really doing well, are the areas in which I think Kovalev can use some fine-tuning.

Or somebody like Nacho Beristain who can sort out Kova's cardio problems. That's really been his big weakness lately. His boxing has been superlative.

Roach would be a great fit with Kov's style.

Roach is a great offensive trainer, maybe he can teach Kov to be more effective at mid distance or to bend his legs a bit and throw some hooks.

At this point not sure anyone can eradicate Kovalev weakness because of his attitude. Since Ward broke that Krusher mystique for Kovalev to be successful he needs to Learn to go to the body and fighter on the inside.
