Rumor is Stevenson is going to fight Badou Jack for the WBC Diamond belt while Alvarez will have to fight someone else for the regular 175lbs WBC belt.

    Unbeleivable.... I have no words.

Do they have workshops with those little Chinese kids making those belts?

No one recognises that bull**** belt so essentially Stevenson is vacating and ducking Alvarez for my money.

Not the David Diamante belt? If so, what an honour for both Jack and Adonis. Diamante is The Man. I'd love to go for cawfee with Diamante and chat bawxing.

So reading between the lines, Stevenson had to fight a live body for the first time after winning the belt and vacates.

    Actually a decent fight.

I gave up caring about meaningless trinkets long ago.
Sanctioning bodies have made themselves almost irrelevant

Isnt Jack arguably a tougher fight than Alvarez?
This just seems to be a money move

Not sure, maybe close to two?
But he has been paying sanctioning fees since 2014.

Good fight I'm looking forward to it. Although I can't help feeling bad for Alvarez.

Honestly, the Stevenson-Jack fight is a far more interesting fight
than Stevenson-Alvarez. Sucks for Alvarez, I think Stevenson should
respect the fact his mandatory has waited patiently so long and
    deserves a shot against him.

Are you ******* kidding me, after all this time and Alvarez fighting yet again on a Stevenson undercard to cement his next in line status, and Stevenson is still gonna ***** out on the fight. I don't even care if Jack vs Stevenson is more intriguing (that depends on your point of view, Jack's chin is shakey and Stevenson hits like a truck) Alvarez deserves that fight. **** the WBC, ************* should be sued again only this time the fighter that wins the suit that would bankrupt them shouldn't let them settle for chump change.

Oh ffs don't tell me the WBC are going down the same "super"/"regular" complete sh**e as WBA. It's bad enough we have 4 major bodies (all of which are corrupt/incompetent in various way and to varying degrees). Surely we don't need all these belts.

It would be nice if boxers stood up and said "I don't want a belt that might as well have been made for poundland and probably was".

Soon we could have 17 divisions x 4 organisations x 2 "world title" belts per organisation = 136 world champions.

As a 44 year old amateur I might yet have a shot at a title as there are so many to go round.
