I'll take Klitschko on points. Overall size and awkward style wouldn't be easy to deal with. Plus, if Holmes manages to win a jabfest, which he might, Vits has plan B which is to brawl.

Vitali has never brawled in his entire life. As for size, did not Holmes knock out Cooney???

Holmes probably has the best Jab in the history of boxing and Vitali isn't going to change that. He will eat it all night. Late round TKO for Holmes

Cooney's chin isn't within the same time zone as Vits'.

Also, you may want to check out Lennox / Vitali for that brawl you wanted.

When a good poster missed the obvious.... I guess you did not see the Lewis vs Klitschko Brawl? Anytime his opponent fired back and hit him, Vitali did not clinch or run, he returned fire. He did Brawl with Sanders for a while until he figured out he could out box him and land body shots on the outside.

I think Holmes had the best all-around jab in heavyweight history. It was fast, accurate and had the sting to it.
However, Vitali was never out jabbed or hit by jabs in his entire career, partly because he was a much larger athlete who knew how to use his height and range, and on top of being 6'7" 1/2 could lean back with great effect.
So don't assume Holmes would land his jab at will here.

Its easy to out jab a shorter stationary type of opponent, Vitali was anything but.

I agree with you in parts. But Vitali never faced anything close to the Prime Holmes' jab ..imo.. which is why I think Holmes eventually stops VK .. I guess for me the analogy is VK faced fighter's b,c,d,e, etc. but never faced a, which is prime Holmes, so if the others couldn't do it neither possibly could Holmes( in the jab dept)..I don't believe that. I think your posts are fair in the analogy breakdown.. I'm simply stating my take on it

If you added 20 pounds on Holmes and made him around 230 pounds or so and gave him punching power, maybe add 2 inches to him ...its a fair fight. Unless you are creating fighters that didnt exist on here well........

Vitali would comfortably out point Holmes in any amount of rnds. It would actually be one of his easiest fights bc he only has to take Holmes jab away or not let Holmes jab set the pace of the fight which he needed to do. Thats ONE punch that a very awkward 6'7 like Vitali would do to him.

Holmes would be that guy on the raft stranded in the ocean in this fight.

    Vitali klitchko wins UD!

I think Lewis had success with the jab against Vitali

wtf does this mean? not last 5 rounds with vitali? how on earth do you get to that surmise?

I think you'll find it would more likely be the opposite, norton would put on a boxing clinic for vitali making him swing miss and gass.

cue "what 7 foot tall monsters did larry face?" ANSWER - NONE becasue they werent able to get fit enough to fight the championship rounds back then.

Mild success at best, he was out jabbed and Vitali made him miss / look bad. Who else did that to Lennox? Lewis himself said Vitali was hard to hit.
