Who do you think would've scored more wins vs big elite HWs - Ali or Louis?

How would they do vs these opponents (all of them at least 6'5'' and 235 lbs or more):
    Lewis
    Bowe
    Vitali
    Wlad
    T Fury
    AJ

Ali imo is the best h2h HW so I'll choose him. To me he's decisively superior to Louis h2h

To match or beat these modern giants, you need at the very least a great chin, speed and mobility. Ali beats Louis handily in all 3.

We have to consider Louis to be far more proven against superheavyweigths than Ali, based on who they both beat.
I am not saying that Ali could not have done batter against these men than Louis, but to say that he would involves a massive assumption.

We know that Louis matched up well against this type of fighter, but we don't really know the same of Ali.

I actually think that having the firepower to take them down might be the critical equalizer, and that is Louis's department.

Which Super HW's are you referring to on Louis record?

Carnera, Baer Jr and Simon were all the size of modern superheavyweigths, and they were all ranked in the top ten when Louis beat them, and he absolutely dominated them.

I think that he have to credit him with having the best record against super heavyweights, of any heavyweight champion before Holyfield.

While it is reasonable to think that Ali would have done well against such fighters, we still don't know exactly what would happen.

Did we ever see him in with a big puncher who was stronger than him physically?

Would he have the firepower to turn the fight around, if it started to go against him?

Both had the jab to bother Lewis, both could hit Bowe when they felt like but Bowe had the reach on them so Ali would do better because after attacking he could punch while backing out of danger each time and had a better chin so could take Bowe`s shots. I would say the same with Vitali and Wlad but if they jabbed with Ali the way Norton was tools to by Futch then they would beat him, Louis blocked while jabbing with his rear hand so I would give him the edge depending on his reach compared to Ali`s, the one with the longer reach would be helped against these two long armed monsters. AJ is quite shaky under fire I think he could take Ali`s punches better than Louis`s, so if you bother to read this maybe you can work out who I think would be more successful in my interested opinion, good post.

Foreman was definitely stronger than him Physically, and stronger than any of those listed on Louis record. As well as a harder puncher.

    Because of reach and chin?
Foreman was one of the hardest punchers of all time! Shavers punched even harder than George, Ali`s chin is the stuff of legends, Louis was knocked out and put down on other occasions! Ali was dropped by Frazier`s with a picture perfect punch from one the greatest left hookers of all time in the 15th round of the all action fight of the century, no way could the men on this list or Louis take that punishment over that length of time or that left hook. When Ali was slimmer and couldn`t absorb a punch as well as in his latter heavier years he was put down while mouthing something to Liz Taylor at ringside and his mouth was open while he wasn`t looking, Henry`s hammer caught him flush, Louis was not hit with a punch like from these bigger guys specifically Carnera who was awful. A li was stopped by Holmes on his feet while he had parkinson`s no comparison in regards to toughness in taking a punch, Louis might have beaten Frazier because he had slicker moves but no way could ne go toe to toe with Joe the way Ali did in Manilla, no comparison.

Louis because of his knockout power. Ali enjoyed physical advantages over most of his opponents. He was, in some ways, the greatest heavyweight in the pre-cruiserweight division.
