Brook said he got a call from Eddie asking if he fancied it. It's in an IFL interview. Both say the same thing

He never should have fought GGG I understand it was a good pay day but it was dangerous and he got hurt, weight classes exist for a reason. He should have taken the less money for the fight with Jessie Vargas he would have won and been a unified champion he then likely would of got the Pac fight which he also could have won.

Brilliant fighter who's courage ended up costing him his career

In an era of rampant ducking, such a shame that this happened to one of the few brave enough to try and be truly Great

After Porter (Aug 2014) I think he had two more fights left in him at welterweight, three at a push and if he avoided injury. Garcia and Thurman would have been ideal for him to reach his potential.

He shouldn't have been going into 2016 thinking he could still boil down to welterweight. Putting muscle on to reach 160 to get smashed by Golovkin in September 2016 was disastrous. Deciding to boil back down to 147 in 2017, against Spence no less, was the cherry on a cake baked with utterly foolish career decisions. Lesser fighters than Spence would have beaten Brook that night.

Fine line between brave and stupid, golvokin and Brook should not be mentioned in the same sentence, weight classes are their for a reason.Tbh,a wasted career,he never showed that he was a brilliant fighter, just a little above average.A 12 round tight, points win against porter will be the best win of his wasted career.

He's lost the fighters mentality, it was obvious the moment he got the injury Vs. Spence he was thinking of what the Doctors told him about potentially going blind.
He reacted how any normal person would, but he didn't react like a fighter.

Was Duran stupid for moving up and giving it a go against Hagler?

Kell was anything but "a little above average". Gave GGG a hell of a fight while it lasted and was beating Spence til his eye gave in

Looking at a recent picture of him, he'd do well to make Cruiserweight. Swell Brook.

God sake,he was not giving Golvokin a hell of a fight,Golovkin was playing around with him as he said "he wanted to make it a street fight"which he did,he was always in control,Brook was just a interference,he came to the Uk for Eubank.Brook did well to stay on his feet, thats the best credit i can give him.He was beating Spence up until 6,but that was why they were so desperate to face Brook after GGG not before, because they knew in the later rounds he would fatigue and gas out, because of Spence's body attack and the weight cut, which is what happened,it felt spence was just witholding his power shots until later. But this is why it's so FURSTRATING as looking back on it,if he hadnt faced GGG,their would be no eye injury,no weight cut and i believe he would have dealt with Spence on points similar to Porter and had a good chance of unifying with Thurman, but because of a silly mistake, they now have to rely on a Khan cash out.

The Golovkin fight was a big mistake. From the moment I saw the headline "GGG vs Brook" I was disappointed.

It was supposed to and should've been in september 2016,Golvokin v Eubank Jr for Middleweight title, and Brook v Vargas for Welterweight, but they messed it up.

thats why I dont like Eubank. He is the cause of this mess in the end. Brook too for taking the fight.
