Wilder never had the intention to fight Ortiz

Yeah, I'm sure only Wilder's opponents are testing positive. Let's see, there was Luis Ortiz testing positive after his WBA "interim" title fight with Lateef Kayode. There was Lucas Browne testing positive against Chagaev for the WBA title. There was Bermane Stiverne testing positive against Povetkin before their fight. Then Povetkin tested positive too before the Stiverne/Duhaupas fight. Then Briggs tested positive before the Oquendo "interim" WBA title fight.

The choices are let everyone take them and get as big and strong as they can.

Or try to stop the cheaters, which results in fights getting cancelled.

But if they're going to open the door and let everyone cheat ... Wilder's going to be a freaking monster when he's roided to the gills.

He's rolling over people now and half the time he looks like a fawn trying to get his legs. It isn't going to get easier for his opponents if they go that Roided Wilder route.

But, if that's what's decided, I'm all for it. I'd love to hear what the whiners say when a 260-pound freakshow Wilder enters the ring ...

Nobody's going to be standing in line waiting to fight him.

Was Wilder on the Lateef Kayode, Alexander Povetkin, Ruslan Chagaev, Berman Stiverne, Johann Duhaupas and Fres Oquendo teams when all their opponents tested positive, too.

    I'd love to hear more.

Until then, let's put that Stiverne-Whyte WBC title fight together. I'm sure the winner will be much better than Wilder.

Dude, when this fight was announced, it was predicted by several people on here it was a pose and the fight would be cancelled for testing or whatever reason.

Did they predict that because Wilder had failed previous drug tests when titles were on the line and people didn't think he could get through a training camp clean?

Or was it because Luis Ortiz had failed previous drug tests when title were on the line and people didn't think he could get through a training camp clean?

Who did people pick to fail the test? Wilder or Ortiz?

So why then, when Ortiz failed, is it Wilder's fault because he signed to fight a top WBC contender and the guy got caught cheating AGAIN!!!!

You guys keep demanding he fight his top contenders. Then THEY CHEAT. And the fights get cancelled.

    And it's WILDER'S FAULT.

For the thousandth time. Everyone knows what's on the banned drug list. If Wilder's opponents don't take BANNED DRUGS, the fights go on.

If they think they can beat Wilder, DON'T TAKE BANNED DRUGS. The fight was signed. Don't cheat and it's on.

On the other hand, if people want it to be okay to take banned drugs, GREAT. I'd love to see Wilder on all the banned PEDs he can get his hands on.

I'm sure he'd be even more frightening a puncher if he took those.

In a fight between a clean Wilder and a clean Ortiz, I take Wilder by KO.

In a fight between a juiced Wilder and a juiced Ortiz, I take Wilder by KO SOONER.

Wilder has been found out. Even his ardent defenders cannot defend this farce.

The boxing world was looking forward to the fight, after falling for so many red herrings involving Wilder being lined up to figh Parker, Bellew, Whyte, and Joshua, that Wilder broadcasted to the world that he was ready and willing to fight to these men, only for talk to go silent a few months later. Sadly we actually fought he was serious when he announced Ortiz.

Now we know he was just playing his acting role as he knew his goons would do the rest of the work to get the fight cancelled and make him look like a white knight in the process.

Boxing is better off without that actor. He'd have a better career in WWE or something involving an acting role as a basketball player who is afraid of the ball.

Wilder saw Whyte as a threat in 2012 and snuck over to England to secretly inject his blood with roids, too. That's why the 2 year ban.

Do we really trust these self-serving sanctioning bodies and their blood tests?

These men fight for a living in a sport that you can die in at any time and you want this man to fight a man that has took something that makes him faster stronger hit harder then even before Hmmmmm

You wouldn't let your kids fight against someone like that knowing you can die and your kids knowing this they are not stupid, would you hell no. Then why should he put his life on the line for you he has kids. You think they want their dad to fight him on some super drugs Hmmm

Ortiz didn't have to fight Wilder. He could've easily took up Hearn's offer to fight Joshua next year for way more money, and if they didn't actually end up fighting him he could've just got Joshua next fight . It would make no sense doing what Ortiz did and burning the bridge on probably the only big payday he's ever gonna get at this stage. If he was scared of Wilder he would've just waited out the Joshua situation as stated and took that fight...keep going though this is fun...lol

    What are you getting at?

People don't always make rational decisions. That's fact.

If he had instead waited to fight AJ and then got popped for a banned substance, would it make any more sense?

If he's fighting Wilder, and he wins, he's in a much better negotiating position (instead of the lower end of a purse bid as AJ's mandatory) for a unification and would clearly make more money (Wilder purse + AJ purse in unification). But to do that, he has to win.

My supposition is that he enrolled in VADA testing, didn't look nearly as good in his last two fights, and felt he needed the edge.

Let me ask you this: how is it more rational that he took PEDs to face Lateef Kayode? Well, he did.

    Deonkey should still fight Ortiz

This was all just a farce so he can fight Stiverne who doesn't deserve a shot, but is about as threatening as mary poppins
