...or will he take a year off and decide to come back. Like that's never been done before?! Cast your votes!
I can see him coming back for a few more. Unless the money offered isn't enough for him. The only reason I see him staying out of the game is the money.
I hope not, I hope he enjoys his retirement and earns bundles for his punditry work. Personally he hasn't entertained me over the years, exceptionally talented but has no charisma and his style leaves me numb. So I don't want to have to watch him come back and dominate boxing headlines for months and then bore me again.
Well if he doesn't he won't come back to 175 after he sees who's holding belts there. Beterbiev or Gvozdyk... he won't want any part of that. Maybe even Sergey again but Ward won't press his Luck there anymore either. Especially if Sergey demands the 3rd fight be in HIS backyard in Russia. Ward
Of course he will come back probably at CW or even HW. He can use the retirement time to use whatever PED's he wants at whatever quantities to grow into the heavier weight classes with no scrutiny from the public eye.
sounds like Stevenson's promoter reached out to fight ward. and ward refused to fight outside of the usa and said in the usa stevenson fight isnt worth much.
If he is not going to fight Stevenson or the young guns at light heavy, he might as well retire for good. But I can also see him doing a mayweather and comeback when the scene is not too hot.
He'll only come back for a money fight i imagine. If Golovkin ends up at 168 in a year or two then i could see Ward calling him out. I could also picture a scenario where he'd come back to fight Chris Eubank Jr if he somehow pulls a huge upset and wins the super series of boxing tournament.
Of course he will stay retired. He was practically retired before he fought Kovalev anyway. I think Ward could have been an ATG fighter. But he was happy to cruise.
