Artur Beterbiev blizted Tavoris Cloud, in a coming out performance where he dropped Cloud three times in the first round and finishing him in the second, and after 3 years of mixed success, having beaten overmatched opponents and suffering inactivity, Beterbiev will fight in his first title fight against Enrico Koelling for the vacant IBF light heavyweight belt. Took way too long to get this guys career moving. He is already 32... So many slow years, he should have been fighting bigger names, but I think most wanted to avoid.
Lost his belt to B-Hop (which he shouldn't have had at the time) and then got stopped in 8 or 9 I believe against Stevenson. Then he got served up as fodder for a green Beterbiev. After that I would stop boxing too.
Glad about this! It's about time Beterbiev gets some big fights. LOVE IT! Out with that POS fraud and in with the NEW!
So much of Beterbiev's career has been wasted. He would have broken SOB's arms with his punches and while SOB was punching to his testicles, Beterbiev would have killed SOB to the head and ribs.......................he would land legal punches unlike SOB.............
This content is protected I love this video, if I was Artur's promoter I would post it on social media everyday.
Cant believe that was 3 years ago already. Was supposed to be his coming out party n yet hes as unknown as ever. Ridiculous. At this point this has to be one of the most botched careers per talent ratio in recent history. Hopefully it gets sorted out.
I don't think Wards style would've bode well at all against this boy ! Far too strong and robust to try and tie up and maul with his wrestling. He imo stops Ward and Kov !
Just over 4 years as a pro with a year of inactivity due to an injury and surgery to correct a serious issue with bone spurs in his shoulder joint. Now with a title fight coming up in 6 weeks. Yeah; What a horribly botched career. He should just quit and go sell kebobs on the street corners of Grozny. LOL Sure he could have been managed better but all things considered it could have turned out worse. He's on the right track now, that's for certain.
