Tyson intimidation was a complex package, not just punching...The way he moved in the ring, the way he carried himself in & out of the ring...Its very complex & KTFO scared big-dudes was the end result, punching a scared man makes the punching power, seem more effective

The only thing intimidating about Deontay Wilder is his punching...Its plain raw power, from a Giant who can reach you at any time of the fight. Once Tyson intimidation factor was reduced to human levels by Buster Douglas, his punching power became less intimidating (opponents still had to worry about getting their ears chewed or arm broken)

Wilder isn't intimidating in the slightest... Washington/Szpilka outboxed that fool. Molina rocked him and Duhaupas/Stiverne took his best shots for 11/12 rounds. Not a single one of them fought scared or were intimidated in the press conferences.

Tyson is on a whole other level to Wilder in every aspect and especially in power/intimidation.

Unjustifiable comment, Wilder is the most anticipated Heavyweight champion of this era.

He is truly "the Realist", how many trolls would have gotten the chance to meet a Klit or LL & settle things in the ring! Thanks to Deontay Wilder, Zelenoff has a legendary story to share with his grand children, if he is given permission to reproduce with his Super-Model mistress

Lots of people find Wilder KO power intimidating, Whitewolf & Szpilka KOs are deadly...

All Wilder has is that raw power, it made him the WBC Champion....You can criticize him in every other aspect, but his KO power is freakish & the fulcrum of his career

Tyson intimidation, start by the mention of his name, ring walk, demeanor, stare-down, discomfort of realizing that soon Tyson will be in the ring, alone with his victim, Tyson Foot work & predatory movement...It remained that way -peak intimidation- until the Douglas fight, then it started fading down. His intimidation was not based of Punching power alone (ala Julian Jackson or Deontay Wilder)

Szpilka got himself KO'd because he found out he couldn't win on the cards. He would have easily seen 12 if not going Gung-Ho. If fighters were scared of his power they wouldn't take the fight to him... which a lot of fighter have done... even Dustin Nichols was chasing him (rather slowly) around the ring.

What made him the WBC champ was soft match making and what has kept him the champ is the WBC letting him continue the soft match making with his voluntary defences.

Wilder doesn't match up to Tyson in anyway. If any fighter has Tyson-esque intimidation about him in the ring it's Joshua and even that isn't on Tyson level.

A lot of boxers (influenced by glass chin theory literature popularized by Zakman & his pupils) think that all they have to do is tap Wilder chin, they came in thinking they are one punch away from scoring the Proverbial KO win.

High risk-high reward situation, that made them walk into the eye of the storm...brave men, motivated by the promise of glory did similar feats, so its not unexpected that some brave men will overcome the fear of death Via Right hand to become a legend.

So far pathological attempts by Szpilka & other practitioners are showing little evidence backing the controversial theories of Zakman & followers of his school of thought...

Hopefully it's Jarrell Miller. Better match-up and Miller would have a shot at the upset.

Never really believed Ortiz-Wilder would happen.

Pretty exhausted with drug testing in sports honestly. Seems like another way for big money to rig results at the expense of honest athletes. Legalization or looking the other way have their costs, but they might be the only way to restore some honor and integrity to professional sport before it degenerates to staged farce.
