Who is your pick at this point for Fighter of the Decade?

Probably Golovkin, especially if he moves up and takes out a top super middleweight. Other than that, a bunch of other guys have potential if things go well. Maybe Rigondeaux, if he somehow beats Lomachenko and adds one or two more high quality wins. Crawford, if he can become the top dog at 147. Maybe even Lomachenko if he can beat Rigondeaux handily and then win against a bigger fighter like Mikey Garcia.

 

Mayweather by some distance as of this point. Ward and Pac behind him. If Rigo beats Loma that would be some statement and give him a case together with the win over Donaire. Loma, ih he beats Rigo, can really go places with the right fights. Amazing talent still in his prime.

Golovkin if he manages to straighten out the question marks and clearly win over Jacobs and Canelo. As of now, he has been unable to separate himself from his best competition, which hurts seeing how average the rest of his comp has been (how far can wins, no matter how dominant, over the likes of Geale and Lemieux really take you in this discussion?).

 

Roman is the correct answer and if he can move back down to fly and has one more run in him then it's a lock.

Ward is the slight frontrunner in this discussion but everyone else has 3 years left in the 2010s to add to their legacy while his is pretty much sealed.
Crawford has already achieved more than GGG in his weight classes and seems to have a bright future ahead of him if he gets the right fights at 147.
kovalev looked very promising but is seemingly falling apart mentally.
Lomachenko is IMO crawfords biggest competition right now, in terms of p4p status they are neck & neck.
Mike Garcia looks promising but is not in tge same league as craford and lomachenko as of right now.

Manny has to be up there.

 

I am not a Floyd fan, but to be honest I would pick Floyd. he beat Manny. Ward no.. Not enough big fights.

Mayweather is pretty clearly out front so far unless you really like Roman. I think Terrance Crawford and Lomachenko will be in the mix by the decade's end. Rigo can take it if he beats Loma.

dunno, most of Moneys stuff happened before this decade surely?

he offered only half a decade of resume this decade. two divisions of work is still a lot, but eclipsed by others and we still have 3 years left.

 

trouble is there are several single division unifiers to pick from, some thathave ruled unified longer than 3g.

 

I said "as of this point". And as of now in this decade he's undefeated with victories over Pac, Canelo, Cotto, Mosley and Maidana. Whose work this decade rivals that?
