You're one salty and bitter *****, Andre Ward will forever own you and Kovalev and in 5 years when he gets into the boxing HOF it will happen all over again.:deal: Deal with it.

That's it in a nutshell. There have been plenty of fighters that I didn't like Wlad being the most recent that retired but did I get on here and create thread after thread trying to tarnish the man's legacy? No in the retirement thread that was made I said he had a great career and wished him the best in retirement and moved on. ****bois like Todd can't do that because they're not real boxing fans and have an agenda.

And in maybe 10 years time GGG will be in the HOF with the record for the most title defenses in history and I'm more than certain that will bother the **** out of you ;) Won't it?

You have spent countless posts keyboard bashing GGG in this forum even more than I do Ward dumb dumb. And I bring up a valid point in this thread. So STFU crybaby. And spare us you FAVORITE word just for a day on here. Can you do that?! Good:thumbsup:

And you don't like Wlad... surprise surprise! Lol! At least Wlad fought and defended titles in other countries!

Wlad > Ward in the next HOF inductions. By far!

The difference between me and you is that when GGG retires I'll wish him the best give him his due an move on. You can't do that because you have an agenda and aren't a boxing fan.:deal:

You just CAN'T leave you favorite word out can ya? SMFH

And I wished Hopkins a farewell after Smith Jr lauched him onto the area floor! So quit with the lies!! And GGG has been a CLEAN ambassador of the sport without being tied to trash and corruption while Ward... not so much. So that's comparing apples to oranges.

Yeah that's a reasonable assumption, my point was that as it stands, with the actual results he got, the geographical location has no relevance in assessing his legacy.

My point is the legit wins any fighter got shouldn't be looked at as any better or worse based on the location.

Who the hell cares where he fought. The biggest fights happen in the US.

Oh, I'm sure the pendulum will swing the other way, and you'll get the ax at some point, too. I'm also certain that, at some point, at some point, life will give you the ax, too.

And when that day comes for you...for anyone who has the misfortune of being related to you...and for anyone stupid enough to care about you, I will find myself smiling, because at that point I will know that precious oxygen is no longer being wasted upon those that I consider to be entirely unworthy of existence.

But, hey...that's just my opinion.

    And, to answer the question..

.No. Not really. It might have helped his cause had he won more on the road, but who Ward fought and the manner in which he won (or, whether he should have in the case of the first Kovalev fight) ultimately proves to be a greater determining factor when considering his legacy.

How did he not truly beat Kovalev?

Kovalev was spent in the rematch.

He had no reason to rematch Carl in England. And Carl never really pushed for that fight.

When was a DeGale fight viable?

    "He had a decent career"

    Ha!

Did he have the opportunity to face an undefeated fighter in the tournament?

No, he didn't have to travel like Carl did. That's a fair point. But that's because he had the luxury of working with Goosen, who had a close relationship with Showtime.

We don't know whether or not he'd have travelled under different circumstances.
