We saw Masher give Stalker a near on boxing lesson on sat night. He won nearly every rd against the captain. Now we know that stalker just hasnt gelled into the pro ranks after a glittering am career but most of us didnt see that coming. How far can Masher Dodd really go?
Hes now defended the c/wealth belt and didnt he win some international belt or variant of it, last year? Slso nearly won the british.

3year or so ago he entered the pro ranks after a short am career which he didnt start till he was about 26. He had losses to andy townend early on for the central area and nobody thought anymore about this kid. Now hes picking up straps hes selling a lot of tickets and iirc hes been chief support on on of Eds/ sky.
Also Eddie seems to like him. He has a great story Eddie keeps telling us and you know that Eddie likes a good story to play with.
Hes dedicated, hes progressing, hes read the book the secret (recommended by Jamie Moore).
If he keeps progressing at the current rate, could he pick up a EBU.
Could Eddie get him a world title?

I think talk of a world title is OTT at this stage but he's probably capable of beating any LW in the country barring Flanagan, Campbell and Crolla.

I'd like to see him in with the Barrett vs Ritson winner or maybe a Euro title fight.

YeS i agree a world title shot right now is too much. But at the rate hes progressing, do u think he could win one in a year or two?

Personally no. I think he's probably started too late. He's well in his 30s now and LW is a young man's division IMO. He'd have his best chance against Flanagan but that fight would never get made.

Rematch with Patera who is now the EBU champion - Masher won split decision in the first fight!

I don’t think the big guns of the division will go anywhere near him. He’s an handful in the ring & more than happy to rough his opponent up and scrap away. He’s a great talker, he’s funny & respectful with it. He loves the game but I think he feels he has absolutely nothing to lose...you’re never going to look good against him even if you come out victorious.

I can see this too. I think Ritson is the best of the three, though others have fought better quality of opponents

Best of luck to him, comes across as a great guy and funny too.. turned his life around and can have a scrap!

His style may look crude and uneasy at times, but it's effective... especially at domestic level.

He is a solid domestic level operator, but why not see how far he can go... who's to say whether he couldn't win a European title if they can get the right opponent at the right time, I'm sure Eddie could land him a shot in the next 12 or so months.
