He couldn't even floor him Lewis did!
Bull Sh*t! Briggs was never in a coma and it was never," touch and go".

Klitschko hit the former two-time titleholder repeatedly with flush right hands almost at will throughout his title-retaining shutout decision in Hamburg, but Briggs would not go down.

Now, he is in Hamburg's Eppendorf University Hospital with a broken left orbital bone in his face, a broken nose and a torn left biceps, Empire Sports and Entertainment promoter Greg Cohen told ESPN.com.

"He was banged up pretty bad," Cohen said, shortly after arriving back in New York on Sunday. "The CT scan came back normal, thank God. Shannon wants to get out of there as soon as possible, but he'll be there for a little bit longer. He's devastated. He really thought he was going to win."

Cohen said the biceps injury was the most severe.

"His biceps is a very serious injury and they have to do surgery, and he'll probably be there for a week," Cohen said. "It might require more than one surgery."

Cohen said rumors that Briggs, 38, had suffered a brain hemorrhage were not true and that he was resting at the hospital and had even joked around with him before he left Germany.

"I wouldn't be here [in New York] if he wasn't OK," Cohen said. "He was in intensive care after the fight for precautionary reasons. The injuries are not life-threatening. He's just banged up, but it's not life-threatening or very serious. Other than the injuries I described, everything else is OK.

8 for me. He was a very heavy handed man but not a one punch knockout artist like his brother or Lewis. If I could I would choose 7.5 but I've chosen 8 out of the two. Definitely not a 10 like some of his fans say.

You can't even quote my reply, how weak. I quoted several fighters comparing VK to other punchers they faced...Foreman, Lewis, and Tyson! You gave us crap besides a vote of a 6 for punching power.

I find the context of your conversations rather limited, and preordained based on the era we are talking about.

McVey has mental issues. Well he claimed an IQ of 137, so I'm sure in whatever he calls his mind he could beat you for the 1,000th time too.

Tyson was still punching VERY hard. Danny was a big 260 pound man tryig to survive and tyson twisted his knee in the first round and had stamina problems at that point in his career but in the beginning tyson was hitting him with some ungodly shots and was looking pretty good considering the stage of his career until he fell apart. He just wasnt able to keep it up and williams hung on and came back. Even before the klitschko bout williams said he couldnt see tysons punches and that he had never been hit like that before. Botha to this day says tyson is the hardest puncher hes faced.

Again this doesnt make vitali featherfisted by any means, it just means he isnt an elite puncher. More like a solid strong puncher who wore people down

Either way he has power..you are also overlooking he was an arm puncher ,never committed fully to a power punch digging thew/following through with it.It takes power in itself to do that,he wouldnt have that k.o percentage ,much like foreman without power. He has more k.os with bigger stronger guys then foreman does.

Heavy handed , about what you'd expect from a trained fighter his size 6.5 maybe 7. Not nearly a big puncher

Oh so his promoter says so. It must be true! There was a point where the DR's could not wake him up.

‘I’ve faced George Foreman and Lennox Lewis, but Vitali is better than both of them.’ Shannon Briggs

" Heavyweight title challenger Shannon Briggs is reportedly in critical condition in the intensive care unit at the University Hospital Eppendorf in Hamburg, Germany. Briggs suffered fractures below both eyes as well as a concussion, after taking dozens of hard shots from WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko on Saturday night, but is responsive according to RTL. He also suffered a pulled tendon and torn muscle in his right arm.
Briggs was rushed to the hospital after the fight as doctors feared a possible cerebral hemorrhage after observing symptoms associated with neurological disturbances and drowsiness.

Referee Ian John-Lewis, who has received criticism for not stopping the fight, said he was within “one or two shots” of stopping it. “It was a heavyweight world championship,” he said. “These are tough guys and as long as a man fights back, you have to give him a chance."

You have truth issues ie you are a complete stranger to it!
How come Lewis floored and stopped a prime Briggs in 5rds ,whilst Vitali could not even floor a near 40 years old Briggs?

I said he wasn't a one punch ko artist as a rule and neither was he.He usually broke his man down with an incessant bombardment, Examples Moore,Layne,Charles,Cockell,Louis,Vingo,Lastarza,Savold.
